So, after finding out yesterday that French hates me much more than I thought, grade-wise, it was a very good thing that my roomie and I planned to go see Serenity. Since, you know, I finally finished watching Firefly and last weekened we didn't have enough time to go. We left earlyish and wandered around Wicker Park taking pictures of the stencil grafitti on the sidewalks, because my roomie's strange and interested in things like that. (There was one that looked like Rock Lee, it was weird). I also noticed that, hey, Ben Lee was playing last night, but we assumed that the show was probably 21+ anyway, and I didn't really have the money to see him after the movie anyway. (Though apparently it was fun, if I can trust
solitaryjane, hehe.)
We stopped at Myopic Books, which is pretty much required if you're with either me or that particular roomie and in Wicker Park. (Such a lovely used book store). And this was by far the strangest part of the trip, because... the basement was open. (It hasn't been since before I started going there.) So I wandered down there... and dude, I remember this one dream I had where I was at this flea market and went down to the basement, which was full of books and this looked
so much like it that it was sort of scary. It's also awesome that the basement was full of all the sci-fi, language, and mystery books, so I would've been down there anyway. It was just a bonus that it also freaked me out.
I'm really hungry for Cheerios right now. They seem like the best breakfast idea ever. Possibly because I slept for 11 hours and undoubtedly need breakfast right now. I should go to the dining hall and take care of some of my dining points before they all pile up at the end of the quarter. Then I'll go to the library and attempt to write things. If I can get to 5000 words today, I'll be proud of myself. I think I can pull it off, if I dig into some of my side stories (which is what I'm going to have to do, since my main plot doesn't want to be written.)
( Oh, and Serenity spoilers )Okay, I think that's out of my system (completely preventing me from coming up with coherent thoughts on the movie, too, darnit). I think I'm going to go hunt down brunch and then write.
