Freakin' ten o'clock... and I'm going to try to write down some sort of quick comprehensive entry covering the past twenty-four hours before I go to sleep, since it looks like the train is actually going to be early... screwing me royally because now this means I have to get up at about five. FIVE! What an ungodly hour! People here stay up until five! And I know people are going to come in here later and just randomly wake me up. I think I'll put voodoo hexes on them or something if they do. That's one thing I haven't tried yet. Unless they're the forgivable sort (which is pretty much everyone... blast). So... last night I was up until two in the morning reading Dubois and writing my response and working on my calc. Mostly because between ten and midnight, I was bouncing around the room being silly (Silliness Side of the UofC Collegiate Social Triforce +5 completely arbitrary points) while people randomly recited things in French and quoted the Princess Bride (mawwiage... wuv, twue wuv) and played anti-Nazi propaganda films and typed out-of-context messages ("That's some weird-shaped breast you have there...") to someone that we confused so thoroughly he felt compelled to call here and find out who was on the computer. That is one huge freaking sentence... and all that stuff took up about two hours. But it was actual fun, so hey, I'll sacrifice the sleep. I got up at 8 this morning (6 hours of sleep = good strategy for getting to sleep tonight now, methinks) and wrote the rest of my Hum response. Drank lots of tea and lemonade, so I ended up being awake for Hum. I felt compelled to participate again, so maybe I'm getting over this whole insane not-talking thing. I think it's the book, actually. It's a whole heck of a lot easier to follow Dubois than Nietzsche. The only problem right now is that I have a five page paper due next Thursday, and for all the topics I have to finish Nietzsche. Normally, this would be fine. But due to my complete lack of a weekend, it's going to be a little bit of a problem. Especially because I also have to fix up my Bio paper by Tuesday, and that needs a decent bit of work. At least we decided that my second calc midterm won't be next Thursday, too. Woo! So I've got two weeks for that one. I had to spend 45 minutes in the Eckhart library today finishing my homework, too. I didn't think it would take nearly that long. At least I pretty much understood it, though. Then I sat around and read Dubois for an hour or so, after I got back from lunch. Then I left again for track, and curse the 3:40 bus for not showing up again. Then dinner, where we talked about female writers and how too many of them are too blatantly female... except for J.K. Rowling and a few other strange random ones that we ended up mentioning. From seven to nine, I sat in the Shoreland lobby completely failing to sell candygrams for Valentine's day... but I was tired, so that will be my excuse for not being terribly enthusiastic. We did manage to sell about thirty though, which put us over the number we expected to sell, anyway. Tomorrow night will all be above-expectations. And maybe we'll take advantage of all those people that forgot about Valentine's Day. Hehehe.
And now it's time for the study break, which I think I'll visit briefly, have some nice non-caffeinated tea and crepes... maybe watch a little bit of Dr Strangelove. Then I'm going to sleep (got to remember to set my alarm) after I check the train times. I'm hoping quite a bit that the CTA website isn't actually telling me the truth, and I don't have to transfer buses three times to get to Union Station (the 28 is has Union Station in its name... there's no way it doesn't go there all day. And the schedule says so, too. So I'm going to risk it). Please please please let the train not be an hour early. I don't want to have to leave at 6! Nooo!
