I'm back at home, where you can run into hardware store owners talking about how gorgeous the sweatshirts she got for her family were. They had three wolves, howling at the moon. Ah, rural Ohio.

It's just... so weird to be around people who aren't so ironic about that sort of thing that it's come around the other side. I mean, there are people who are already on the other side. It's so surreal to encounter. (-;

Ohio is pretty sticky stuff. I don't think I'll ever completely get rid of it, either. But I think the bits of it that stuck with me most evidently are ridiculous politeness and an inability to pronounce that awful AGH sound Chicagoans make in words with A's in them. Those are pretty okay traits, all things considered.
