I have worked so much overtime in the last two weeks, I can afford to do one of several things:

- I can buy myself a mandolin. (I want blue Remy! Blue Remy would be awesome!)
- I can go to Bonnaroo. (Seriously, does anyone want to go? Because I aim to do at least one music festival this year.)
- I can adopt this adorable cat that I've been admiring for days. Though this brings up issues with future moves, and things with the landlord and Sirius now, doesn't she have the cutest cat smile ever? She looks like great trouble fun. (I have yet to get off work early enough to go see her.)
- Buy myself a record player... If I ever manage to decide how far I want to travel into audiophile territory, because that's a slippery, slippery slope. I also need good speakers. This would turn into a much more massive investment than my current overtime could cover.

Of course, my indecisiveness and unwillingness to spend money pretty much means I won't be doing any of these things. Unless someone wants to go to Bonnaroo! Or if I get over my fear of ordering a musical instrument online. But really, guys... music festival. Who wants to go? I'll bring my Blue Remy! (... I have a lot more overtime in my future.)

Those all sound like super awesome options. Mostly I was distracted by how GOOD GOD THAT IS A SHINY SHINY BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENT. T_T

Mmm, isn't it? It's probably the most rational investment on my list right now... other than a good stereo, but I could take years to think about that.

I wish someone within transit distance had one, so I could go play it in person before I buy it...

I wish I had thought of this sooner, since tickets go on sale this weekend and then start getting more expensive. But! If you do want to go, do let me know. Basically all we'd need to figure out is camping, and that pretty much involves a tent and things to eat. (-;

you know what? send me random gmail chats. i am sometimes/always signed in, so if i am at the computer, we shall talk. i think i've given up on msn and such - i don't even bother to sign in at all.

I'm going to be dangerously close to the shelter today, and since DI things tend to fill me with some kind of dangerous altruism, I think I'm going to need to be very careful. I don't think my landlord would appreciate me asking after I own a cat. (-; I'm trying to talk myself out of the whole cat thing for a while by telling myself that Sirius will actually come when I call and follow me around the kitchen, but there's still that itch at the back of my mind that wants a pet whose trust I have to earn first. And that I could hug properly without squishing it to death.

I miss you too! I was thinking about e-mailing you yesterday, actually. For some reason I never see you online in gchat. Perhaps I'm looking for the wrong e-mail address? We will figure this out!
