It's been 24 hours since I was last online, I think. Maybe if my stupid power wouldn't have gone out for most of the morning, I wouldn't be acting like I was going through some kind of withdrawl. I had a really weird dream last night, that I will now write down so I don't forget it...
I was (goodness it's so hard to concentrate on anything when your sister's bashing a ball against the desk...) at the county fair, and I was dragging around this giant heavy metal frame thing (like the big racks they keep clothes on). I was doing it for a friend, who had made it his mission to drag the thing up and down every aisle at the fair, but somehow I had volunteered to do it for awhile, and everyone kept coming up to me and talking to me about how I had decided to drag it up and down every aisle of the fair, and they didn't know that I wasn't the one that was supposed to be doing it. Eventually I went to see my mom, who was sitting in a lawn chair in the middle of nowhere. She told me something I can't remember, and then I was in a library at Chicago. There were no banisters or anything keeping people from falling off of the balcony on the second floor down to the first (this seems to be a recurring element sometimes), and one of the librarians told me it was because of everyone's "thirst for knowledge" or something bizarre like that. Then I was in this café talking to some girl that I didn't know and I found out that I was one of the top three finalists in the marathon at the fair. So I had to go back to the high school and get some stuff out of my locker. It was my locker from my sophomore year, and it was full of strange notebooks that I knew were mine, but they had bright stickers all over them. I took out this brown paper bag, and then I was at the fair again, in the parking lot about to leave. I got into my car, and one of my co-valedictorians was there with me, and he needed a ride home so I offered to give him one. For some reason, he got in the driver's side of the car... He rolled down his window all the way, put the seat back all the way and reclined it, and then started driving. I turned on the airconditioning and as we were leaving there was this dead cow that had been hit by a car laying by the side of the driveway. There was a big field of them across the street where we were pulling out, and it looked like there were two dead baby cows in the corner, but then they got up and they were big fluffy sheep with black gorilla butts. All of a sudden I was in a field of beans across from the cow pasture and a field of corn with my dad, who was telling me that the people that owned the farm were druggies, and if I looked closely in between the bean plants I could find tiny marajuana plants.
The dream pretty much ended there. It's possible that it was parts of several dreams all mixed together, since it's so fragmented. The strange thing is that usually, there's some sort of connecting thread between all the seperate dreams I have in a night, so it's hard to tell them apart. Me and my weird dreams.
Work wasn't all that bad last night. We started out with about 5 people behind the counter, and they sent three home before 9. I was there until 11:34 (the latest so far) mopping and cleaning. The new system is nuts! I "lost" some cups and bags last night. Which is utterly confusing, since I have no idea where they would have disappeared to because I obsessively check everything I do to make sure all the stuff is run up right and such. I can't wait until September!! Only 59 more days!
Well, I suppose I should just post this now, since it's telling me that I'm going to lose my connection or something now. Maybe I shouldn't take so long to write this stuff.
