I'm gonna go out on a limb here and just say I am not yet anywhere near adapted for a thirteen-hour workday. Holy freaking crap. Two floors of battery changing. Two dorms of battery-checking. Followed by forever and a half of program-fiddling, setting-up, and making 300 keycards. Three. Hundred. Keycards. And labelling each keycard-sized envelope with the first year's name and room number. Freaking heck. But at least we got pizza. And the guys I was with were cool. (And comfortable enough that it was fine that we were all slaphappy by about four in the afternoon. I'm sure you can imagine how bad it was by the time we hit nine and ten.)
I always point out that this is the busiest week I have all year, but I seem to always gloss over how amazingly disorganized-crazy it is. But it's fun. So much fun.
See, I was going to ramble here about how weird it is now that they've remodelled Pierce. The staff is like... happy. And the cereal bowls are happy coloured. And the food is good. I mean, I'm sure by the middle of the quarter they'll be tired of trying, but... yay! For now, it is a Golden Age of Pierce, and I am quite happy with it. I kind of wish they'd done up BJ, too. I'm not gonna want to go back there. I was also gonna ramble about how freaking evil it is that they've redone all the bus schedules, but since I can't even figure out when the buses are running, and to and from where, I don't think I'm even informed enough about that yet to complain properly.
