So... even though I saw Mr Tumnus today, and a Cloud-as-Zoidberg (it almost makes less sense than that if you saw it...), I have no pictures... because I was silly and left my camera batteries upstairs in the hotel, and I was hard-at-work minioning. So there you go, not because I'm lazy this time (which is rare, trust me).
In case anyone needs to know where just about any fast-food establishment near the Cinergy/Duke Energy Center is in Cinncinatti, I am available for the asking. I suck at giving directions, but after wandering a decent three-block radius around today searching for Chick-fil-A (which was hidden in the basement of a mall-thing that was unreachable by human means) I feel like I can find anything.
I do, however, have a few things I feel a great need to write down, just at random. One: FMA panels. Plz stop reading CoS in Five Minutes. It was posted. I read it. People recorded it and posted it. I didn't listen because I didn't want to.
Of course, complaining about that is probably like complaining about dubs, where being on LJ and hanging out with the cool people is being subs, and fan panels have the sort of totally-at-random fan and nonfan people hanging out them, and are made for easy-access like dubs. Whoosh. Bad metaphor, go! However, sitting in the panel and listening (though it was fun) has made me love my eensy non-corner-whatever-it-is of the fandom more, because bits on the outskirts of fandom where we're all on the same page and are all "yay, really rambling discussion that is... whatever it is" are wonderful.
Two: I forgot what two was, so obviously it wasn't important.
So, on the previous note (being number one), we shall play the meme game:
1. Comment and I'll tell you what fandom I associate with you.
2. I'll tell you what icon I see on my friends list and know it's you.
3. Post this in your own journal so I can see what you associate with me.
To make this more interesting, I will try to name a fandom that is not FMA. Whoosh!

AND NAME ME A FANDOM.

I say PoT. Because that is your most obvious other fandom, and whenever you write about it either I go "Huh... I have no idea what's going on" or I get all randomly nostalgic for my brief stint as a fansubber, because that was my first series, zomgah, and we got into all sorts of trouble for hopping in on the last like, fifteen episodes because whatever other group that was doing it was taking forever, and poaching shows is a breach of etiquette. (-; You're also the only person I actually know who's in the PoT fandom... I think. ^_^
Oh, and icon! This one:

Yay PoT~ And I remember that fansub drama. XD I, myself, as a fan, thought it was completely dumb because the other subbers were just taking too long to get episodes out in an arc I didn't care that much about, and I really wanted to see how they were going to end the series. But that was just me. :x
Bwaaaah, I enjoy that icon. (:

unless it's my Godzilla Gundam, custom-built for destroying cities no one suspects will be destroyed.FMA was my first actual anime fandom... Before that was X-Files. Before X-Files was Animorphs. I only ever seem to have one fandom at a time, and I seem to get into just slightly before the giant influx of fans that makes it scary and unbearable. But now I don't know where I'm going next... and the FMA fandom is clearly scary. (-;It was... well, within the group it was no big deal, because they were always doing silly things like that. The encoder who did that arc for us left in the end, though, partially because of the flak he had to take from the other groups he was in for letting us do it. Fansub politics, omg. So crazy. I was just a poor lowly girl who came in to do QC work because I was tired of obvious errors in their subs, and I was shoved at it because 1) I was a girl, so therefore I must like PoT and 2) no one else wanted to edit it. Most of the time I was sitting there going wtf is going on here (http://evilhippo.livejournal.com/259505.html) and "wait... why the eff would you call it a 'code ball' or a 'chord ball'?!" Which is what I get for only seeing the last few episodes of the show. ^_^
I'm slightly afraid of that icon sometimes. (-;

Haaa!! No, no, it's not because you caught only the last few episodes. There's a reason that we refer to it as PoT, and fans as PoTheads. It's very much like a drug, in that it really doesn't make much sense, and it's completely ridiculous, but once you start to enjoy it, you find yourself hooked. :x Usually, the "enjoy" part happens when you're watching it with someone else -- the series is SO MUCH CRACK that it's really hard to enjoy alone. Then it just seems dumb. XD The manga, though, is a different story... It's still funny and cracky, but it's not so off-the-wall ridiculous. :3

Also, keep the con stories coming. I love con stories. Even the ones about searching for Chick-Fil-A.

Um, try not to say the obvious?

Fandom... umm... that isn't obvious... umm... Okay, fine. Um... Since FF7 is the obvious one, I'm going to be slightly less obvious and say Advent Children. Or is it the other way around now? Can Vincent just have his own fandom?
What with DoC, I think he does. So there. Your fandom is Vincent.Hey, I think I covered all the obvious. Win!

Except under my pen he's slowly turning into a jackass...
Anyway, you have fun at that con of yours!!!
