First off, I have a bit of squeeing to get out of the way, because right now, even with my bad-ish grades from past quarters, as long as I didn't get a B in my Shakespeare class (and I hope I didn't, but I'm still way paranoid because my final paper wasn't all that good), I very nearly have the 3.5 I need in English classes! Despite the fact that I had a dream last night that I was trying to argue my way out of having an F- in participation in my writing class, I actually managed a grade a bit higher than I was expecting. Yay! And I got pretty much exactly what I expected in the other two classes. (Probably could've done better in Film, but oh well. That would've taken more effort and actually reading the book.) I think my Shakepeare class, unfortunately, taught me a very hard lesson in doing well at the start of the quarter. They made me so paranoid about that final paper it's not even funny, and I actually feel guilty, like I've let them down, because my final paper wasn't nearly as good. A sign that I care, sure, but waaay more unnecessary stress than I need to deal with.

So... yesterday was great. [livejournal.com profile] sketchyheart and I went up to Cedar Point and ran around riding roller coasters all day. My shoulders hurt from both sunburn and constantly having them up on roller coasters. The day was wonderful, all sunny, but not horrendously hot like it has been sometimes. Bit of a nice breeze. And for some reason, it really wasn't that crowded. The longest lines we waited in were for the Top Thrill Dragster (and most of that waiting was for them to finish testing it and actually open it, thanks to being there early) and Millenium Force. And neither were far over an hour, if that. I think, before yesterday, it'd been three years since I'd been up to Cedar Point. And that's just wrong. But it's okay, because we only skipped three coasters (the weird inside one, the Blue Streak (which is short and small), and the Iron Dragon, which I was saving for night, because it's more fun that way, but it turns out we didn't stay that late). The way the lines were, if I'd gone at the park like I did nearly every year between eighth grade and my senior year, we probably could've hit nearly every coaster twice. But the way I used to go about things involved lots of fast walking and nearly no eating or bathroom breaks, and that would've been... unwise. We just stuck with the fast walking, and as it was we made it on four of them more than once (two of them three times). Which is not bad at all. Also, we were on the Magnum at sunset... twice. Which was awesome. We had awesome luck getting into the seats near the front, since the lines for the very front were usually long. I think we probably had some of the dorkiest conversations the lines have seen in a while. Also, I've discovered that anything western-themed is also rather bad for the bunnies, even though I freaking killed him off. (And stating this while walking out of Pioneer Town definitely got me some of the weirdest stares of the day, since I was saying things like "But I killed him, why is he still haunting me?")

We also worked hard at the art of spotting the camera on the tracks and posing for it. I now have an incredibly dorky roller coaster glomp keychain, and it is yay.

I love rollercoasters. :D Alas, I live too far away from any theme park to enjoy them frequently. )':

I'm sort of disappointed in myself that I let so much time pass since I last went to Cedar Point, since it's only like, two hours or so away. But oh, the rollercoasters. I think I'm spoiled, being so close.
