I skipped Civ again today. Hopefully it won't cause too much to go horribly wrong in the long run. But oh my goodness I can't even get myself up in the morning anymore. I woke up at 11:30 and looked at the clock hopelessly. I did try to catch the 11:45 bus, but it didn't quite work out because only my boots were by my desk, and those take a few extra seconds to put on. Honest, I tried to go to sleep around two last night. Which means I probably actually fell asleep around four, because I'm quite certain it was three when the hamsters pedalling my brain started poking the sides of my head trying to get me to write things down so I wouldn't forget them. Freaking hamsters, always powering plotting at three in the morning. Maybe the gear-shift on the wheel is broken. They also branded something about an alchemist, a pirate, and a cowboy (in that order) onto the side of my head, and there are cave-paintings that have to do with a key, maid outfits, and a surprise inspection. (I've had a one-track mind lately when it comes to plotting. But it's the renaissance (or Christmas), so it's all good. Save for the emo.)
I had a rather weird dream last night that I can't remember most of, aside from contracting some sort of strange eBay virus on my computer because I bought my sister a pair of glasses like my dad's for... some strange reason. And the computer caught the virus from me... and it had something to do with Google, and Party Poker. I think this should be where I stop paying attention to the strange things my brain comes up with, unless it has to do with writing the paper I have due Thursday, or doing the rest of my homework that I need very badly to catch up on.
Oh! And my external hard drive is coming today. Hooray! I can finally clean off my computer so I have more than 6 gigs free. And, should the spirit move me, I could actually reformat this poor thing. I'm probably most happy about being able to back up everything on my iPod, though, so now I can get rid of the songs I never listen to without fearing that I won't be able to find them again. Victory! (A small one, but victory nonetheless.) Oh, and I'll never have to worry about finding the rescom harddrive again. Unless, of course, I have to back up more than 160 gigs of something. Which... would be nuts. (I'm going to have 160 gigs of random space! What am I ever going to do with that much?? I could take SO MANY pictures!)
And, as you might be able to tell by the fact that this entry contains very little complaining, things have settled down quite a bit lately. And that's good enough for me. Yay!
