Don't you go away tomorrow...

Well... looks like it's one in the morning. And I'm mostly packed. And it doesn't feel like I'm going to Chicago tomorrow. (Holy crap, I need to come up with something to say about myself to the American Daughters of Sweden... crap, what am I gonna say? "Er, hi. This is the third year you've given me money, and that's awesome. I'm still a quarter Swedish. ::thumbs up!::") I'm trying to get myself prepared for the ride. It's... well, five bucks says there'll be a pretty nonsensical phone-post before I'm out of Ohio made at some rest stop while the three of us go our separate ways long enough to work out how not to kill each other. I hope my sister agrees to lend me her radio transmitter thing for her iPod so I can listen to things on the way there... nothing but radio and my dad's tapes will get a little old, methinks.

Normally at this point I'd be going over everything that happened this summer. But nothing happened this summer. Let's see... I... sat around lots. Didn't write anything. Read a lot of things, though. Um... kind of learned to drive stick. Learned to play around in the dark room. And that is it, I think. Thoroughly uneventful summer. Wtf. I've got a feeling this year will make up for it, though. Gotta find a job, get through my classes. It will undoubtedly be an adventure. And save for a few things I dread (like being harassed by people again), I'm very much looking forward to it. Yay!

Hello again, Chicago. It's good to be back.

Oh, and internets? When it gets to the point where I have prophetic dreams about there being a mod account at omg_alchemist while I'm dozing off for no more than like, three minutes at a time on the way here... just... wtf.

But yay Chicago! Yay central time! Boo being uncertain when I'm allowed to move in. And that's about it. I suppose I owe everyone five dollars for not making a phone post on the way here, but we did a pretty good job of not killing each other, and I only slept like... three hours last night, at the most (because I couldn't fall asleep). So any post I would've made would've been so incoherent that it would've actually been worthless rather than entertaining.
