Ah, it's sad how uneventful today has been. What I did: Got up at ten, went to work at 11. Stood around at work, realized how much slower the day shift is when you don't actually have Spiderman. Found out I accidentally got fired by the computer. Had to fill out all my forms again and essentially get re-hired. Stood around and talked to one of the guys at work, ate some jalepenos, talked about Asian racism, found out we're getting Farenheit 9/11 and then got sent home because there was nothing to do. Yay. So now I'm back and sitting around and stuff, and hoping that my dad doesn't get up until after six, because then I'll have a nice long afternoon to myself so I can... sit around. Heh, I'll probably watch more of Cowboy Bebop and try to pass my Nonstop-Order of Evilness. I've gotten 13 or so songs into it, and my main reason for not passing is that the pad seems to hate me sometimes. So I'm trying to work on fixing it, but anything that works only seems to work for about two days at the most.
I should probably write down my dream from last night. It's not the type that's really written down easily, and it still sort of disturbs me because even I can't make any sense out of it. It's not overly weird, but... it's weird because it isn't that weird, I guess. So, I was driving down this highway on the outskirts of Chicago when I had to drive into this tunnel that went into this giant building. It started collapsing, so I had to get out of my car and run for it. My mom and sister were with me all of a sudden, and I had to check to make sure we had everything we didn't want crushed with us. We did, so we started looking for a way out. All around there were crowds of people watching bits of the roof cave in and stuff. I finally got to an open place with sunshine, and was about to sit down and rest when my mom pointed out that the sunshine was just artificial and we were still in the building. To get away we ended up going underground to this subway, and all of a sudden I was alone again. There was a big high school field trip down there and their tour guide came across this castrated guy laying naked on the tracks and got all freaked out and told the students that that was not what it normally looked like and really it was much bigger and she'd be sure to find a picture to pass around later on. I walked down to the platform itself and there was this odd steam-powered train coming the other way. I walked down the tracks and ended up out in this big field piled high with dirt like a construction site. There was a bit white van there, so I got in and drove down the tracks and ended up at this stream. I got into this inner-tube and floated down, talked to someone in this mass of vines (I wish I could remember what they said to me, it seemed to be important), then floated back down the other way. I slipped out of the tube someplace down the river and lost my sandals, but didn't lose what I was carrying. I was wearing these blue flowered shorts, and they were really uncomfortable. When I got out the van wasn't there anymore, so I decided to just walk back the way I came. I was a little lost, but I knew to follow the tracks and knew I hadn't made any turns in the van. After a while I decided to jog so it would go faster. Next thing I knew I was in the van again and my sister was driving. She missed a turn before she came to the tracks, so we had to go backwards down the road, and I told her to turn around, but she tried backing into the street and we hit someone. I wasn't sure how I was going to explain what had happened, and then I woke up.
The collapsing building that I couldn't escape from though.. that was sort of freaky. It didn't freak me out that much while I was dreaming it, I just accepted it, but now that I think about it, it bothers me. But that's because I've got a strange fear of being trapped in a collapsing building. It's something about some random show I saw when I was little where this one person was trapped in this room with the rest of the building collapsing and stuff. And the room kept getting smaller.... it may or may not have been some sort of documentary on earthquakes. I doubt it was, but it probably had something to do with earthquakes. Scary.
