Gosh darn freaking FMA... I... well, I didn't cry as much as I thought I would, because I freaking knew it was coming (darnit). But goshdarnit people... ahh! Sigh... I totally have barely worked on my Hum paper tonight, too.

So, most of tonight was occupied with the evil freaking housing lottery crap. Which was... well, freaking evil. I ended up in the room I wanted, which I guess I pushed too hard for. The whole thing ended up exceedingly confusing and I didn't even know who I was rooming with until like, five minutes after the actual room selection had started. And now I get to spend a year across the hall from the Drunk, the Maniac, Gamer-san, and Captain Sketch (a microcosm of the UofC, if you will). It'll be fun though, and my new roomie knows how to cook (yaay!) so I don't have to worry so much about never ever going to BJ (I'm on the two-meal-at-BJ-per-week plan, though I can harass first-years into swiping me in, methinks... mehopes). Ohhh, and sweet, none of my roomies will really yell at me for making my sort of food! Hooray! There's a plus. And I really like the room. It makes me look forward to next year.

Gosh freaking darn FMA. I am going to be sad all night. But I needed to watch it and get it over with. See? See what they made me do? Evil freaking Japanese, ruining my life! If I don't finish my Hum paper, and the infinite amount of reading I have to do, and... and... everything else. Gah!

Sigh... I had better go take a shower, and then get to work on my paper properly. I plan to get at least two pages done tonight, even if it kills me tomorrow (not like I can fall asleep in the pool or anything).

Re: YAY!!!

Hooray for apartment-style rooms with awesome views of the lake, and enough windows for both sunrise and some of sunset. Hehehehe. I'll have to show it to you when you come up, though the people that have it now are sort of freaky. Oh well, I guess you'll just have to visit next year, too. (-:

Re: YAY!!!

Sort of freaky how?? I have dealt with many freaky people here I think I could survive! I have a view of the lake from my room too! But it isn't like an apartment. Thats ok. I might have it to myself in Spring semester!

Re: YAY!!!

Oh, the only way you truely get to know UofC freaky is to experience it. It's sort of... well, in this case it's trying too hard to be social and failing miserably sort of freaky. There's also "failed attempt at sense of humour" freaky. There's a lot of that here. (-: Then there's the whole other realm of just plain creepy. I'll give you a tour.

Re: YAY!!!

Hehehe... oh just you wait. I'm relying on you to react appropriately to all this, because all of my coping mechanisms were smashed during O-week and I've accepted most of the things that happen here as normal. Take today at dinner for example... eating at BJ, while a CD with about four Spanish songs on it (including La Coucouracha... which is totally ironic) played in the background... they had stuck Mexican flags in all the desserts, and I was listening to two Asians argue over who had a more refined pallet because one of them said that this random Spanish thing wrapped in leaves tasted like ::random Chinese word that I cannot reproduce::. Oh, and also talking about dragging someone out of his room and shooting him (with a water gun, because we have now been playing assassins for FIVE WEEKS). Oh, and on the way out I was almost run over by the UofC Mariachi Band (I totally can't spell in Spanish). And this doesn't even being to border on weird. I have a faint feeling that it really is weird, but at this point it's very repressed. And the people that are weird... well, you should be afraid. (-:

Re: YAY!!!

Interesting. Last night the Campus Center dining hall also celebrated *holds up five fingers* de May-O and had a cook out theme. They were playing all sorts of music and there wasn't that much Spanish. They even played "Lady Marmalade". That is when I knew this school should be called IK. LOL! just kidding I am starting to like it here somewhat. Unfortunately it is too late. LOL! Home tommorrow! Not to rub it in

Re: YAY!!!

I know you're just trying to rub it in, don't lie to me like that.

Dude, Lady Marmalade is so French. I bet even the Cornell kids could tell whoever was running the cookout that. Hehehe.

I always end up liking it here just before I have to leave, too. It must be some sort of obscure rule about college, that you hate it until right before you have to leave, and then people start behaving again and you're like "Oh, I guess I could stand it here a bit longer." (-:

Re: YAY!!!

Oh Cornell I hate them so much. Tommorrow is their last day of classes and they throw this huge party and it is going to be hard to get out of Ithaca. Stupid Cornell. Oh and their crappy accapella group sang this song "We didn't go to Harvard" set to the tune of "We didn't start the Fire" first of all they can't sing and second the whole time I am listening I am like you didn't go to Harvard because you were too freaking stupid to get in!! Blast I can't stand them!!
