You know... the more I think about it, the more I'm torn between believing that I'm totally miserable here, or absolutely in love with the place. And the problem is it's never in between. It's "Oh dear goodness if I have to go to class today I'm going to collapse," or it's "this is so wonderful... I can't believe these people." Actually, I think that's the root of it there. I never expected the things that happen here to take place at such an "antisocial" sort of school. At least I know that this is where I belong. Hehehe. I got told that I was a stereotypical English major today though (cringe-cringe, hehe). Not that that's so much of a bad thing anymore. I mean... heck, we've been through this before I don't need to go over it again, do I?

I actually made it through my Civ discussion session today rather well... heck, I volunteered my opinion on something, even. So I don't think I'll be dropping the class. The papers are looking a little daunting, but I was able to handle my Bio stuff so I see no reason that I couldn't deal with this. I'll make it, hehehe. Despite the fact that my fourth class is no longer something simple and fun like Drama was.

OK, so I'm going to have to admit it... as if you haven't figured it out already. They've gone and done it... they've gotten me into anime. I'm sure everyone saw it coming. I saw it coming, at least. Twas rather cunning of them, to make me the one to download Trigun. I watched the first three episodes of Mahoromatic with them tonight, too. I'm not quite sure what to think of that one... but even with my limited experience I think I know better than to judge an anime on less than five episodes. It's pretty cool stylistically and all, and the story is... well, it's strange as far as my Western raised-on-Disney-and-Loony-Toons sensibilites are concerned, but that's nothing at all and it certainly doesn't make it not-good. It's just the whole... preoccupation with boobs and sex in it that bothers me. I imagine you get that a lot, though. Gah, silly represse culture of ours, making it so we find it bizarre to have... ah, whatever.

I'd better get myself off to bed, I've got to get up early tomorrow for track. Blasted evil track. Grrr... I actually have to be out of here at 8 tomorrow morning. My earliest freakin' day of the week, and it's a Saturday! Qu'est-ce que c'est??!! C'est bete, c'est quoi. Baka!

Just don't watch the dubbed version, or you'll cry tears of blood. o.o;

Hehe, the dubbing is that bad, eh? You know now that I'm going to have to try to find it so I can see what you mean. Silly morbid curiosity. (Weren't tears of blood more of a LoTR cartoon thing? Or was that tears of acid? Surely the dubbing isn't that bad??) I suppose I should be glad that the people manipulating my artistic sensibilities are elitists and would never go within miles of a dubbed version of anything. I mean, they get upset when you can't change the options on video games back to the original Japanese. (-:

Well, I suppose the dubbing isn't excessively bad in the ways of keeping to the original lines. But the voices are horrid. I didn't like Milly in the original version, but the dub made me loathe her. Vash and Wolfwood's voices sound almost the same, and I happened to tune in to check the dubbing out on a very critical episode where I should have cried, except I felt scarred because it was evil. Yea. I don't like dubs. Except for the FLCL dub. That wasn't so bad :D

And I sued to own one game where you could change it back to Japanese... my freakishly cute and addictive Yoshi's Story. Which now resides in Lindberg's house. Ah :X

Hehehe, I was wondering who you sued to get a game. I'm sure there are others that can be switched back to Japanese. I know my guys will only play Soul Caliber with the Japanese voice-overs. I don't blam them... apparently they even re-recorded the battle-noises and stuff with Americans. Silly people.
