As far as Mondays go, today was pretty nice. Most of it was the result of absolute frustration, though. I think I've got my schedule figured out, and thanks to some interesting technicalities I'm taking Civ next quarter, and then taking the first two next year. Horray for non-sequential classes!! Not that any of the writing-type requirements really have anything sequential about them. So it looks like I'm taking Hum, Calc 153 (though not thoroughly necessary, I'm taking it to keep my options open), Ancient Mediterranean (Greek) Civ, and Contemporary Science Fiction, which sounds like a lot of fun. And screw it all, I'm taking fiction writing next Autumn, too. If things work out, my schedule will be absolutely beautiful on MWF, since I'll have class from 8:30 -10:20 and then be done. Normally I'd hate getting up, but my early class is lifeguarding, and that involves moving around and getting the blood flowing, plus little to no thinking. Though I expect there will be notes when it comes to the actual lifesaving part. Aaaanyway....

So, that was a rather recent development that I discovered just as my mom was calling so we could figure things out. Turns out I can quite conceivably do my Physics major in four years! I didn't realize how much I wanted to major in physics until the past couple of weeks when I thought I couldn't. A future in the world of intellectual pretention and BS of the Humanities (as opposed to logic and the ways people try to escape it... like physics puns) is just bleak and yucky. Unless I become a writer. I'll still hold out for that one. Maybe if I sit down and think about it, I could work out a double-major ('twould have to be English, my most mocked major, but here it's all writing and such). Hmm... you know what, I bet I could. Woo! New project! Or maybe I'll work on... well, I'll come up with something. Anthro... something random and weird. Linguistics. For about half an hour I was going to be an Antro-Linguistics double major. That would've been pretty useless. Hehehe. Umm... right... I have absolutely totally not arrived at the point I was making yet! Trying again:

So, today was fun because (aside from my schedule and my major and stuff) it was sunny and warm, and despite the fact that the buses are freakin annoying... actually, because the buses are freaking annoying, I ended up walking back to Shoreland after Bio and it was so pretty. Because it was sort of maybe almost sunny. And then I liked it so much that I walked back again for Drama. I realized how much free time I'd have if I had my bicycle... it took me just as long to walk as it does to take the bus.

Screw it, I'm buying Xenosaga, despite the fact that I've only got a PS2 for the duration of this year, and I don't have an expendable income. I think I'm applying for the language lab montior position, too. So if that works, this'll be a preemptive celebration. And spring quarter, I am going to have a job. Woo. I promise myself that... if it's at all possible.
