I've been basically sitting around all day. My sister decided that she didn't really want to go downtown today, so she sat around online while I did my reading for Hum. Despite the fact that I almost finished Nietzsche at the train station, it's going to take me the rest of tonight to finish these books. Goshdarnit why does it take so long to read them??? I think I've got four more chapters in Dubois, and maybe two in Nietzsche. Then I have to come up with a paper for Thursday. I think I'll worry more about my Bio paper, though since less work is involved and it's due on Tuesday.
This whole weekend has completely thrown of my balance here, I think. So far I've been able to keep home-things completely seperate from college-things... and now that my sister's here I'm just sort of lost, and it's forcing me to look at how things actually are here. No wonder she's so freaked out. When I got here, I was in such shock about everything that I just had to basically ignore and suppress everything to deal with it, and I never stopped. Unfortunately, I think this is going to mean me being even more frustrated with people here. Mostly because I'm sort of mad about the impression that they've undoubtedly given my sister. This has by far been one of the worst weekends here, and my sister had to endure it. Now, girls night was fun, but my sister didn't want to go to that (mostly because of the dress code, and the fact that it was called "girls night") so she ended up staying in my room sitting around watching Fight Club while a bunch of the guys on our floor hung out in our room playing Castlevania.
Well, it's off to dinner with us.
And why has no one on my friend's page updated since yesterday at 2?? Is this a problem with LJ, or are you lot just crazy-lazy?
