I'm still fussing over the colours of this thing... I'm still not quite happy with them, either. Someday, I'll get it right. I've got nothing but trouble with backgrounds on my computer lately.. they keep changing without me telling them to.

My mom just got home from work, and joyfully informed us of the new "Teen Extreme" activity at the local library... they will be making "groovy" tye-dyed "doorags." I want to see this so badly... I believe they also had something where you made duct tape wallets (maybe they were then sent to some other company in the orient in some sort of bizarre, diabolical child labour/wallet-making scheme). They're trying so hard to make the library cool... it's really rather funny, but also very sad and pathetic. We're currently taking bets on how many people will show up for the do-rags. If I was still in 12th grade, I'd go make one, and then be the only freshman at the UofC with a tye-dyed do-rag. Though, it is possible that there might be someone else. Who knows.. perhaps tye-dyed do-rags are part of a vast, national library conspiracy. Perhaps they are already all the rage in Canada, and we just don't know about it yet.

We didn't get any mail at all today... I think that's really weird. Usually you get something, even if it is just a flyer for the local gentlemen's club or whatnot... I'm rather suspicious that someone drove by and stole all our mail while I wasn't looking. Of course, if you were going to steal someone's mail, wouldn't you leave at least the bizarre flyers, so it looked like they just didn't get anything? Perhaps some evil fiend is after my AP scores. I need those scores to either boost my confidence or reenforce my irrational fears of remedial math in the fall.

I wish AOL wasn't such a freaking stupid thing, and wouldn't freeze up all the time. At least now though, it doesn't freeze up completely, and you can still finish what you were doing... you just can't use anything else except the window you're in, and if you accidentally x it out, you can't open anything else back up. Ah, this poor 7 year old computer. At least I won't have to worry about it crashing on me so much soon, when I get my own. There is still much debate over whether or not I should actually get a laptop, since now my mom is afraid that I'm going to lose it. What am I going to do? Go leave it on a picnic table somewhere and walk away? I think I'd be a bit more careful than that, especially since I'm the one that has to pay for it. I'm off to Cleveland tomorrow to check out all sorts of laptops and such, so maybe I'll be lucky and find something. (-:
