True story!

Considering how fussy cheesecake can be, and how much I just completely winged it with the recipe (cream cheese? I'm using brie! I don't have cream, but I have some left-over half and half! Vanilla extract? How about vanilla and coconut! Wooden spoon? Rice paddle!) it's pretty delicious. And it's a perfect size for one person.

I'm pretty certain at this point that I'm basically just living out my mad scientist fantasies in my kitchen. And now I have a robot rice-cooking assistant that can also make cakes. (Did I mention that my rice cooker has fuzzy logic? I am so doomed when the robot uprising comes.) I should also point out that my robot assistant made me brown rice and woke me up this morning, just in case anyone has the impression that I've used it only for cake.

CHEESECAKE-MAKING ROBO-SIDEKICK RICE COOKER. Somewhere in this is an anime. Definitely befriend it as soon as possible, just in case it also turns out to be a spaceship or a TARDIS.

Also, OM NOM NOM.

YOU KEEP SETTING MY HOPES AND EXPECTATIONS FOR MY APPLIANCES WAY TOO HIGH! ... now I want a TARDIS. Again. Do you know how many random ethinic suburban grocery stores I am going to have to check to find a good deal on a TARDIS? Geez.

But still, I concur... OM NOM NOM.

I AM NOT THE ONE WHO PURCHASED A RICE COOKER WITH A CAKE SETTING. THE BUILT-IN GRINDER ON MY COFFEE MAKER NO LONGER IMPRESSES ME. But you know, even if a TARDIS is hard to find, there are other space-age gadgets out there. Like this!

Oh man, it sounds like your winging-it recipe changes could only make it taste better. Brie? Half-and-half? Coconut? HELLS YEAH!! :DDD

...I'm confused by the picture. Is that supposed to be the cheesecake? ...Does it have... brussels sprouts on it? O_o

The only problem with the brie is that it's a little sharper than cream cheese, so I should've added a little more sugar, I think.

And that is, in fact, a picture of my cheesecake. I... am not sure why anything looks like brussels sprouts, though. My camera does have some... issues... with color balance, but those should look at least a little bit like berries. I hope. (-; I would've used this picture (http://pics.livejournal.com/evilhippo/pic/000sg68d), but the color is even more off, and the raspberry sauce makes it look like I murdered something on the plate first. ^_^

I figured they had to be berries, but with the weird color values and über close-up I couldn't be sure. It's a bit easier to tell in the other picture, and now that I know what they are I can see how they are blueberries and raspberries instead of brussels sprouts and tomatoes. XD;

Actually... I think if I go with brie and less sugar instead of more, it could be done with brussels sprouts and tomatoes and actually be pretty good. Hmmm... kind of a... quichecake. Now I want to figure out a way to do this.

Also I need a new camera like whoa.

I have a new mission!

I also happen to have have both tomatoes and brussels sprouts I need to use before they go bad. IT IS MEANT TO BE.

Indeed. It is a sign from the gods. Let us know how delicious it turns out! :D
