Freaking crap, brain. It's nearly 10:30. That's bedtime. Not "Okay, let's pick up a pen and paper!" time. Siiiiigh. I suppose I should just shut up and be grateful.

Yo! Went to a Wool Gathering this weekend and kept my eyes open for natural colored llama yarns. This place was pretty high class, as far as yarn went. There were a lot of stalls selling skeins for $15. I found one place that was a bit more reasonable. The website is http://cedarcreekfarm.farming.officelive.com/default.aspx
If you go to their yarn section you can see what they offer. All of their yarn is handspun and comes from their own llama farm. I can vouch for their quality since I was holding it in my hands two days ago. I asked the lady if she would ship to Chicago area and she said definitely. The black llama yarn was especially nice.

Here's the info from their card
Cedar Creek Farm

llama care, shearing, and boarding.
Handspun yarns: Llama, alpaca, or custom order.

If it isn't what you wanted, I understand. That place was hella expensive. I ended up buying very little yarn and focused more on rovings.

Fantastic, thank you! I did find yarn a little more cheaply on Etsy, but I do like small farms... and also, these guys have a llama for sale that would make a good guard llama. ^_^ I may call them and see whether they'd be willing to work up something interesting for the sake of a wedding.

Oh man, at the wool gathering they were selling these really great alpacas for $400. I really wanted to get one and keep it on my porch but I don't think my landlords would approve. Also, my downstairs neighbors will probably complain about it's mess dropping down onto their porch.

Alpacas mew. Like cats. It's crazy. Some other people call it singing, but to me it sounds just like a cat.

Maybe you could train it to use a box. And then tell them it's a cat.

Or, better yet, maybe there's a way to justify an alpaca as a service animal necessary to your survival. ^_^

A guide alpaca for the blind? Emergency transport? An extravagant floor rug? Yeah, I could totally justify keeping one of those around the apartment. Haha.
