1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Spent three months away from home... ate at a dining hall, survived a quarter of college calculus. Applied to colleges, stressed about getting into colleges. Graduated from high school. Lots of stuff.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Gah! I don't even remember if I made any New Year's resolutions... so I guess that's as good as not making any. I suppose I will make a resolution again this year, but I usually just make it up as soon as anyone asks me.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that I'm aware of...
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Me? Travel? I think considering my usual movement around the country, we'll consider Illinios a different country.
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
Better grades, more time for fun, and... more money for less work!
7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory?

Lots of headaches and other stress-related things, but nothing serious (thank goodness!)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My college education.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
What an odd question... I don't know. Maybe some of my floormates invovled in the clean-up brigade that one disgusting night of drunken-ness... umm. How about all the LotR fans that managed to not yell at me or be mean at the midnight showing? That was worth celebrating.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
I'll pretty much generalize here and say the American government. Gah!
14. Where did most of your money go?
School.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Finally leaving for college!
16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
Probably anything from Keep it Together will remind me of the summer, and Everything to Everyone will remind me of the first few months of school.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
Hard to tell... probably about the same. Maybe a little happier, because this time last year I had just gotten my deferral from UChi...

A little more in shape, I think, but not necessarily thinner.

At home! With my family and (hopefully, if we can get together sometime) my friends.

23. How many one night stands?

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
There are some people that I didn't know this time last year that I really don't like a whole lot... but hate is a verily strong word.
26. What was the best book you read?
Huh. Well, Order of the Pheonix was rather good... But I think I'd have to say Good Omens. Woo!
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
This is such a strange question for me to answer, but it might just be all that weird remixed game music I've picked up.
28. What did you want and get?
To go to the UofC
29. What did you want and not get?

The usual t-shirts, jeans, and striped-shirts-underneath-t-shirts.

That dang blasted war on terrorism of ours.
37. Who did you miss?
My friends in high school... sort of high school in general.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
This isn't fair! I've met so many new people this year. Therefore, I refuse to give this question a proper answer.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003.
How to take care of drunk people.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"The thunder struck, the clouds appeared
Our fearless crew was not prepared
and pretty soon the boats came for us
half a million strong
We gathered arms, we fired shells
We build a wall around ourselves
and pretty soon the spirit was a lot like
what it used to be back home
So far away from everyone
and everything starts today"
