So, I'm lazy. I'm on break, and I'm not sitting in front of the computer for something like 12 hours a day anymore... oh well. Plus you really don't need entries every day that say things like "Gah! It took me three hours to get through this one part of Xenogears today because I was a dullard and didn't realize I needed to update my gear parts! The worst thing is, I almost defeated it without them! But that wasn't until I died several hundred times, and my sister demoted Citan from "Man Sex" to just "that guy".." and... well, see, that's just unnecessary. Who wants to read that? Hmmm, actually... perhaps all these new users at Livejournal would like to read that. No more invite codes! Well, there goes our lovely elitist community, non? Darn, and it was so much fun to be charitable and give away the codes, or to help people on their quests... those codes were coveted, darnit!
So, yeah, work has got me back in its evil grasps. I'm working tomorrow during the day, then Tuesday I'm working from 10 til 2am because of LoTR (Note to anyone coming to the opening: Hope you got your tickets, because most of Wednesday is sold out! And dress up and be strange, losers! I don't want to be bored until 2!). Then I have Wednesday off, and I have to work Thursday-Monday. I think this Wednesday I have to put in my two-weeks notice, too. Hehehe, such a short little winter break. I suppose I should tell them I might be back in the summer, just so I have something to fall back on. Not that it would ever give me enough money to make my contribution for next year, which will undoubtedly be more than last year's. Seems like I'm always having to worry about money anymore. Heh... hello me, welcome to the rest of your life.
So, going back to work wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. They've changed the combos to something infinitely more complicated (Lg Drink and Lg Popcorn, get a dollar off a bag of M&Ms, 2 Lg Drinks and 2 Med Popcorns, 2 Free bags of M&Ms)... I had to steal this piece of paper with it written on it and tape it to my register. Then, I got bored and fixed the spelling, because I can be a spelling-nazi/pedant that way. All the prices were bumped up a bit too, popcorn's up about 50 cents, drinks and candy are up 25, and now we have coffee (which I don't understand how to work at all. I can't make it, and I can't serve it, either). I've only gotten to meet a few of the new employees, but there's only one I don't care much for. He just seemed to be a bit of a jerk, but he works the box so I don't have to worry about dealing with him. The one guy I met last night who actually works the concession was rather cool, though. He's still in high school, and a football player, but he had a sense of humour, and noticed the weirdest things about people. The story he told me about this one couple that has been coming in regularly the past two weeks was rather amusing... Apparently they always come to the concession together, and then ten minutes later the husband comes back and orders something else. Then, after the movie the wife goes to the bathroom for like, 20 minutes, and the husband stands around and waits, then goes over to the door to the bathroom, opens it and there she is. We were temporarily distracted by this one lady playing the shooting game though, so we didn't get to see if it happened last night. One of the weirdest things was that I saw two people with one blue eye and one brown eye... at completely different times... which means they weren't together, and probably weren't related, either. Weird, non?
So, that's about all I have to write about. Pretty sad. I wish I could pretend my life was interesting... if I was at least in school I'd have something to write about. Darnit, I want something interesting to do. Work is so... anti-intellectual. It makes me dumber, I swear, because I think I've learned to turn off the thinking part of me so it doesn't get bored and die or something.
Hmmm.. howscome so many strange people sound pretty much the same on the internet? Mostly guys... they have a rather distinct way of typing. At least the guys that I know that are.. umm... for lack of a better word..."interested" in me. Yup... pointless musing. It's only 11 o'clock... I don't want to go to work tomorrow. But at least I don't really consider Tuesday working, and Wednesday I have off. The five days in a row is going to be torture, though. But good for my paycheck... They're mostly day shifts, which means not only am I working 7 hours... I don't get a break. Woo. I wonder if I could get away with bringing something to read... Which I still need to find. Darnit! I need good books! I'm at a complete loss here.
Aaaand, I can't come up with anything more to write, so I'll just leave now. Woo.
