My collage for drama has turned into a moster. A monster I am very proud of. I just have to hope I don't come off as some sort of poser. I hate people thinking I'm a poser. Just because I'm not a "gamer," but I still play games. Bah! Err... that was a tiny bit of tangent. But anyway... it's so much fun to sit here downloading random MIDIs and then trying to tie them into the plot of Antigone! So much freaking dorky fun. It almost makes up for the fact that I didn't accomlish anything today. I can write that silly paper tomorrow. And after classes. Hehehe. I am such a freaking slacker procrastinator. The only one that's still debatable is Dr Robotnick's theme for Creon.. but I can justify that with trying to match him up with as many bumbling sort-of evil characters as I could.
Character Themes:
Antigone: FFTactics - Alma's Theme. Because Alma was all protective of her brothers and also a bit of a fighter... kinda like Antigone. And the music works.
Ismene: Zelda64 - Zelda's Lullaby. Because it's all calm and sweet and such, and orderly. Zelda-ish. It works.
Creon: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Dr. Robotnic. Because the music's funny, and I like to think of Creon as this sort of failed evil guy who's lost as it is. Silly Creon.
Watchman: Excitebike - Title Theme. The only reason he has a theme is because this fits. And it's funny. It's really short, and useless. Originally, there was going to be a theme for all the guards, using the Solaris music from Xenogears, but then I didn't want to use Xenogears music more than once (which I ended up doing anyway).
Scene Background:
Antigone and Ismene: Super Mario Bros. - Level 1. The only reason this is used here is because I discovered that you can sing the first paragraph to the theme reasonably well. And it's the whole "starting out" thing everyone can recognize.
Creon and Watchman: Tetris Theme. Useless maneuvering. Woo. Simple.
Creon and Antigone: Super Mario Bros. 2 - Wart Battle. I just love this song. And it fits well enough. I guess. Really, this is more associating Creon with random evil dudes.
Creon and Haimon: Super Mario RPG - Booster's Tower/Trouble. I've decided I'm using both of these. They're both sort of foreboding. The Booster theme works for Haimon's pandering, then it goes into Trouble, which is just plain foreboding and strange. Woo.
Antigone goes to die: Xenogears - One Who Bears Fangs at God. You'd think this would be more for Creon, by the name... but it works so well for being suspenseful and foreboding and such, which is important at this point.
Tieresias Warns Creon: Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask - Skull Kid theme. Just plain creepy-foreboding. This is the official theme for the end. Woo.
Creon Finds Everyone Dead: Xenogears - Id's Theme. Technically, the one who is torn apart. Fits so freaking well. Lingering... sad... Creon's all torn apart. La!
I should so thoroughly get to sleep. People here are actually tipsy... it's freakin' Sunday night. I'm not sure, but I think someone might be randomly showering in our bathroom. Or peeing in the dark. I should definitely write my one-page summary and whatnot now. I still haven't started that Bio paper of mine. Hehehe.
