So, hypothetically, if you were to build a darkroom for students would you:
a) tear out the old one first and force the students to use the new one before it was finished?
b) take two weeks to get 75% of the supplies they need?
b-1) [this option is for professors only] assign students to finish 10+ prints in said incomplete darkroom?
c) kick students out at least once a week forgenerating more dust "repairs"?
d) never repair anything?
e) never replace anything that broke/ran out?
f) say you were going to keep the darkroom open over break and then not?
g) make the waste chemical containers black so no one can tell how much is in them?
h) never empty said containers?
j) not provide a mop, papertowels, or anything remotely useful for cleaning up?
k) do something that causes, at the end of tenth week when everyone suddenly has a ton of prints to finish, the pipes to start leaking, leaving a half-inch of water on the floor, along with the chemicals all over the floor because of the un-emptied containers?
Just... just... what a disaster area. There were probably seven of us in there (out of ten in the class). I'm surprised none of us died. The chemicals all over the floor reeked, we were almost out of fixer, a third of the enlargers are on the fritz. I am eternally grateful that the class has gotten to know each other so well this quarter, because if we were still at the point of behaving like hyper-competitive insane UofC students, we'd all have killed each other now in order to survive. Holy freaking crap. And I've got to go back there tomorrow and finish at least ten prints.
In conclusion, the UofC is broken [pic (partially) unrelated].

Actually yes, because it cracks me up, too. Mostly because I think those white blotches are snow bits zooming into my living room. I wish I had a video of people trying to open our door, too. Or at least of the blinds flapping all all the posters flying off the wall. Oh, and then when the cold finally got to the lamp and make it flicker. It was like having the entire room suddenly possessed. (-:
