The goal is ten pages. The limit is twelve. The cursor stands near the end of page seven. The amount of caring is basically zero. But I've got about three hours still. Three hours, three pages. Do-able. Except I have nothing more to say about most of these things. I don't think anything less than ten pages will quite cut it, though. Even if I can't bring myself to care much about this class right now, I don't feel like I should totally shrug off this midterm, since it's a huge part of my grade. Who the heck assigns a nearly 12-page midterm on the weekend of Scav Hunt? Who the heck gives you five days to do a 12-page midterm? Five days! That, barring major procrastination like mine, requires more than two pages a day. Like we don't have other homework. (Nevermind that I was lucky and didn't really have much other homework this weekend. But Scav!) Sigh.

Oh well. There at least ought to be interesting things to do tonight. And this is the last of my midterms. Yay!

Crap, it's got to be 8th week or something by now... I have no sense of time anymore. I have a feeling it's 8th week, which means I'm behind on starting my final papers. Freaking UofC.

I think I'll spend the summer asleep.

Edit 1 [12:32]: Somehow, I almost wrote Edit 16 for this. And it didn't occur to me that it was wrong for far too many seconds. Yes. Eight pages. Need to get to the tenth. Must answer this last question. Do I care half of anything about the answer to this question? No. Because I am tired, and burnt out, and can't stand the thought of writing any more. I've written eight pages of complete bull for this, decorated with bits from lecture to prove that I was there. I hope they're easy about grading this. Sigh.

Edit 2 [1:51]: Freaking... grr. Well, I'm at ten pages. I don't want to write anything else, despite the very bothersome feeling that much of the first half of every single answer sucks. A lot. The moral of this story, I think, is that a ten-page anything at this point in the quarter is just too much. But hey, it's done! Half an hour before I need to leave, too!

Don't worry too much about it. ^ ^ I've noticed that profs tend to mind too short papers much less than too long papers. As long as you've said/answered everything you need to say it shouldn't hurt you much, if at all.

I think I threw in all the necessary references to lectures... (-; I just happen to have a TA who's a very harsh grader, so I'm nervous. She tore apart my two-page paper on Gatsby, and I happened to be fairly proud of it. If I'm lucky, though, the prof will have equal say on these, and it'll be okay. But wow... I mean, the class has like, 70 people. That's 700 pages. At least (because people tend to go overboard here). And the final papers are ten pages, too. We'll be lucky these get graded by the fall! (-;

He's nuts. And also the head of the department. So I suppose I shouldn't like, set him on fire or something.

If our proposals for our final papers are also due today (we're supposed to have read a novel for today, too. Ha!) I think I'll explode. And goodness help me, it will be messy. I will make sure it is the messiest student explosion ever. Teach him to be evil.

wow good job!!!! I hate non-human professors. If I wasn't so sure there were no aliens, I'd think they all taught at this school.

They're probably the result of some sort of bizarre genetic experiment to engineer people for... um... no, I can't even imagine why anyone would ever want to subject themselves to having to grade that many papers, especially since most of them will probably suck. Must've been a really warped evil plan. (-;
