I have one word for everyone: Lollapalooza. It's in Chicago this summer... in August. And holy crap are there a lot of good bands in that lineup. I am now determined to go and I absolutely haven't already made plans to camp out on someone's apartment floor without even asking, no. The invitation is open... anyone who has a desire to go is more than welcome to keep me company. My sister called me today while I was on the bus to the dining hall and tempted the heck out of me by reading off the names of all the bands, but she's bringing all her friends from home, half of which are people I graduated with and never really knew well, but are the sort that will make me rather uncomfortable the entire weekend. Which would sort of destroy the fun of the concert. So I need a comrade-at-arms. One that promises to be non-awkward in the usual UofC way, because I can't even get my mind around dragging a UofC-awkward person around something like Lollapalooza. Heck, I'm not sure I can do it myself. So really... anyone who wants to go. But dude... I must go to this. Must!
Oh, and
chocolatemoose? The two states I forgot were Virginia and West Virginia. I knew I was missing a pair, but it didn't occur to me until I was almost out of Canada, and I didn't remember that it'd occurred to me until this afternoon. (See, I didn't pester you directly about coming to Lollapalooza with me.)
(Also, I managed to randomly snag a seat in the Intro to Film class tomorrow, so all I have to do now is beg my way into a fourth class and I'm set. Yay!)
