So... I've been hanging like a vulture over the add/drop on certain classes lately, and I'm getting the very distinct impression that, once again, the UofC does not want me to take classes. First of all, I have no idea whether I've gotten into the fiction class or not... though I guess they don't technically have to let me know for another week, as long as I know before the quarter starts. It would be nice to know, though, so I could figure out what I can take on T-Th. Le sigh.
So, for the billionth time, I have been unable to get into a Cova class (it's still cova to me, none of that silly artv stuff they're going with for the abbreviation now). Couldn't get in first quarter, got the time moved on me last quarter, and can't get in this quarter. I think I'm finally in a position, though, that if I whine enough I might get in. But what the heck! Third years are supposed to get into classes like that easily! It's a requirement you can take care of your first year! I just want to take it so I can take photography classes next year.
And, though a few days ago I had managed to round together three classes that I didn't mind taking (one of them still being Civ, because the third quarter couldn't possibly be worse than this one), all of a sudden I only have two, because one of them actually got cancelled. Signs, you see, signs. After almost three years of this abusive relationship, I think the UofC is trying to dump me. What the heck? I'm dumping it at the end of next year, it can't cheat like this. This is like the whole "I'm not fired, I quit!" thing. No. Oh no you don't, UofC. If I put up with you this quarter, you are giving me the classes I need and letting me finish. None of this not-getting-in and cancelled nonsense. Grr. I think I'm going to go ask the administration if they have a time-turner I can borrow. That way I don't have to worry about the fact that everything in my schedule conflicts with everything else next quarter.
