I'd like to point at the clock right now and tell the world that I've only been up for an hour or so. That's right... I woke up (which implies sleep) this morning... in the single-digit hours. I fell asleep when the time was still in double digits last night! (I mean, it was still after midnight, but I'm in college, and if I fell asleep before then, I'd be a huge dork. Not that I'm not, but... er... yes.)

Anyway! So, despite the fact that right now I don't even know what I was supposed to have read for class today, I am quite happy. I'm not entirely sure I can blame basketball last night for making it possible for me to fall asleep at a normal hour, but it probably helped. It's just that I'm also pretty sure that playing basketball on somewhere between two and four hours of sleep isn't exactly the best idea. Though, oddly enough, I wasn't nearly as physically exhausted during the game this time. I'm pretty sure it's just because the team was made up of undergrads, though. They only beat us by ten points, so obviously they didn't have an actual game-plan, either. Just for the record, grad students are vicious and merciless in basketball. Don't ever play against them if you have a choice.

Aaand, what else did I do last night to keep myself from falling asleep at five in the evening and permanently screwing my sleep schedule? I finally watched the FMA movie! The decent-quality one! With subtitles! I'll admit to something akin to cheating, though, since I heard the English subtitles out aren't all that great. So I'm still not entirely certain on some of the finer points of plot... though my French has gotten better. I should probably get around to taking my competency, though. Another advantage though, of using the French subs? The bunnies I've had since the movie came out must remain dormant until I'm certain of what certain people are saying. Bwah! Er... not that it really does me a whole lot of good to be avoiding bunnies right now, but I have to do something once in a while to show them who's boss. Unrelatedly, since I wasn't predicting anyone's iminent death during the movie this time (or stopping in the middle to re-watch things), I was reminded again how awesome Roy can be. And that I missed him. I just hope he doesn't vie for space against Hughes right now... because that'd get messy. And, since I had time to think in between certain things this time, it was actually sadder. Especially since I knew what people were saying. Siiigh. (You know FMA is there for screwing with your heart when the opening credits are basically a montage of everyone they've killed in the series. WITH HAPPY MUSIC! Freaking FMA.)

I was going to do the In My Pants meme, which everyone on my friends list has been doing, but there seems to be a disagreement between whether it's 10 or 25 songs... and after flipping through at least 30 songs on my playlist and coming up with almost nothing but foreign languages (and songs that just don't take In My Pants at the end with any amusing results) I gave up. The best I could do was Oh, Lately It's So Quiet in My Pants. So there. I tried.

Ah, fma rants... I need to start those. I am tempted to rewatch the whole series, but I know that if I get started, I will never finish my BA. *sob* I agree that the whole of fma was made to mess w/ your emotions. AHHHH I want to be an anime character so I could live with all the characters from fma!!!! >_< (I wonder if there are other people on campus who are fma fans? Do you know Jason Downey-- I think he's a closet fma fan and I will tell you why in person...) We should hang out sometime and watch episodes of this stuff. Do you like family guy also? (I noticed "victory is mine" as a heading) Anyways, I really like your journal entries, you're a very good writer. Sorry about the rant/randomness ^_^ See you on Wednesday!!!

FMA rants are so much fun. At the very least I get to have one once a month when the manga comes out, but then there's the fact that I lurk in the fandom. I noticed a few days ago that there's no facebook group for FMA... if I were more of a dork I'd start one. But there must be other fans somewhere on campus if we managed to run into each other.

I'm a bit of a Family Guy fan, but I haven't seen anything past season two because my roomie doesn't own the DVDs yet. ^_^ But the "victory is mine!"... hmm... it may have started with Family Guy, but my roomies and I shout it at each other enough that it's become totally separate. (-:

And since my reply to your other comment was tiny anyway:

Thank you. ^_^ The mood theme came from here (http://community.livejournal.com/iconsumers/16566.html?nc=28).
