So... let's see if I can get this dream written down properly. (I might be getting worse at this... or my dreams are getting more disjointed, I don't know.) The first part I remember is being in this department store which was a bit like the JC Penny's at home... only there was this sort of stage, and my backup dancers were changing their shoes to these strange thin platform heels that were very... rubbery. I don't think they could have possibly stood on them. It's also possible they weren't my backup dancers, because, as I was putting my shoes on, one of them stopped me and gave me a pair of purple shoes, telling me that someone had picked out a different outfit for me, and those were going to be Oprah's. A few minutes later, I was handed this strange frilly skirt. (Think Kaylee's dress in that one episode of Firefly.) So I took it and went into the dressing room to try it on, but it was a size thirteen. Of course, since Oprah had basically mandated that I wear it, I put it on, even though it was huge. Then a bunch of random people with young girls came in, and one wall of my dressing room was missing, so they stood there staring at me as I discovered that the skirt had suspenders. I pulled it the rest of the way on and my mom walked into the room. She told me something, but I'm pretty sure I was too occupied with the fact that the skirt thing had also turned into some sort of odd bunny suit. I left the dressing room and sat down obstinately in front of a TV and played Super Mario 3. Then I asked my mom if I could have a Tanuki suit instead to wear for the show, because I'd wear it for Halloween, too. After I said this, though, I was worried that some of the other random people in the dressing room wouldn't get the Mario reference, and just be thinking of the Tanuki in general. My mom, for some reason, agreed, and I walked over to the other side of the dressing room, which was suddenly my sister's half of my room at home. My laptop was sitting on her bed, and I'd been talking to
sketchyheart over AIM... she said she'd brb, and it was going to take a while, but that'd been an hour ago. I thought that it'd been more than an hour, and next thing I knew I was holding onto my computer in the back of my high school government classroom as someone tried to drag it out of my hands using white USB cables. Then there was some sort of sword fight and next thing I knew my roomie's alarm clock was going off.
In other news... it's 27 out. And it's supposed to be 48 tomorrow. I'd ask for January to make up its mind, but it'd probably settle somewhere around its average temperatures instead of in the 40s. I guess I can deal with the randomness if it means I'm freezing less often. Though I was talking to someone (someone I know) a few days ago, and they actually managed to complain about it being warm. Dude. Don't complain because it's warm in January. This is a gift from the random weather deities, enjoy it while you can.
Oh, and the windows in my room are still open... and it's not that cold in here. I was under the impression they'd resolved not to overheat the Shoreland this year.
