I really don't want to have to get up tomorrow morning and go to work again, but at least I get to hang out at Pizza Hut with everyone (well, nearly everyone) after work. Yay! I'll get to see people! Oh, and did I mention I got scheduled until 11:30 on New Year's Eve? Again? Which kills my New Year's plans. Unless
becada422 and I can find someone closer to volunteer for a party without telling them. (Though I did spoil the surprise in the first case, too. Alas. I guess I'm terrible with secrets like that.)
I hate having nothing to talk about. Work was boring tonight, but at least I got to do Crown Clubs for a bit instead of harassing people about combos. We were, once again, way overstaffed, and no one who deserved to go home (like sick people, for example) actually got sent home. Le sigh. But so it goes.
Um... just to mention something random and not complaining about work, I'm re-realizing that Soul Coughing is great. There's... I dunno, I'd sort of forgotten about them for a while. I mean, it was at least junior year or before of high school that I got into them briefly. There's something really sort of pretty about some of their songs... I've always associated it with cities at night, for some reason. Either because I was in Cleveland at night one time while listening to it, or because (randomly enough) of the Super Nintendo version of Sim City, because I swear some of the background music from it is sampled in one of the songs... Or maybe just because that's what it sounds like to me. But yay, Soul Coughing, for being one of the approximately five bands I will not skip when they come up on my playlist. (Except for two songs, which ought to be out of rotation in a few days anyway. I <3 my self-modifying iTunes playlist. Yay!)
