Feeling emo today, so I'll try to spare all of you. It is very, very hard to write a 5-8 page paper when you aren't given any sort of hint as to what you're supposed to be writing about, though. It also really hurts your progress when you go back and do some of the reading you neglected for class and discover that not only was what you were going to write about covered in the reading, but covered in the reading by your professor. Good thing I did the reading then, hmm? So now I'm sort of at a loss again. Maybe I'll go really generic and read over some of the recent readings and go on about the different ways Darwin's points are misconstrued to make other points la la la.

In other news, I'm bored out of my mind. I think that's my biggest problem. If I was more interested in all of this, I wouldn't mind the lack of a topic for this paper at all. Wow, I would've been so so screwed if this paper'd been due Thursday, too. I'd be done... but I'd be so embarrassed to go talk to the professor on Wednesday. I'm already going to be embarrassed, for fear that he's already read my Civ paper. Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear.

I should stop worrying about all this. I'm sure it's not healthy. I think I'm going to go give reading some of this another shot. Maybe I'll re-read the last chapter of the Origin and see what I can come up with.

16 Military Wives has been in my head since my roomie was singing it on the way to Pierce today. This is why it's a good thing that our tastes in music overlap very, very little.

Wow, and she jumps. Well, this girl red_nyte_dancer is doing a 12 fic for Christmas thing (you can't read the entry because it's friend-locked) and is asking people to randomly request pairings / situations / etc. for her to write. So I decided to throw in a Hughes/Roy. I haven't read any of her stuff so I don't know how good she is, or what's her take on them, but I did say make it pretty. :-)

And is that Kermit on you icon?

It wasn't so much a jump as... curiosity. If it had been a real jump, there'd have been interrobangs. (-; I'm always curious about other people's take on Roy/Hughes though. Despite the fact that I'm extremely picky about them.
