I think maybe I managed to get somewhat close to 8 hours of sleep last night. But you know what? I don't think it made much difference at all. Still tired. And, more importantly, still completely sans imagination for NaNoWriMo and, more immediately, my screenwriting assignment that's due tomorrow. I've got plenty of ideas for other things I could do my screenwriting assignment about. But nooo, this week it's got to be three people. In a funeral home. And none of them are allowed to be dead, or to leave. So... 5-6 pages of people talking to each other in a funeral home. What the heck? (All right... my instructor wins this round for making me say wtf.) I mean, the only thing I can come up with is... um... nothing. Which is a lie, but I don't want to admit that right now what my mind is doing is throwing Reno, Rufus, and Rude into the funeral home, trying to find a place to hide Jenova's head. Umm... somehow, and this is just a hunch, I doubt that's the sort of screenwriting assignment I should do. And out of context, three guys trying to hide a head is sort of... well, it'd make you wonder, I think. But I don't want people to just sit there and wax philosophical about life and death. What do you do in a funeral home other than go to funerals? I'm tired of just being all-out surrealist, though. Surreal doesn't really work in funeral homes, either. And I've got my French midterm tomorrow to study for. Le sigh. At this rate, I'm not going to be able to start on my NaNo until this weekend... not that it'll make a difference, though, since I don't have ideas to start with.

Darn writer's block! Darn it to heck!

People also cremate unwanted witnesses in a funeral home. (Blame X-Files). And maybe Jenova's head is an important piece of evidence that the R-guys don't want cops to find, because then they'd all get arrested for first-degree murder and trafficking cocaine. And you can make the cops ninjas.

Why do people only ever encourage my bad ideas?? You and [livejournal.com profile] sketchyheart both! Of course, she's worse because when I asked for some euphemism for Jenova's head she suggested "Bob's Pomegranate." I don't think I'll ever write anything for this class that makes sense! But there is no way I'm talking about Bob's Pomegranate.

Because bad ideas are fun. Especially if you put them as real ideas and turn them in for a class. Ha.
