Someone should be employed to tell bands when the lyrics they're writing are... questionably intelligent. Like they can get away with it just because their first two albums were good... coughWeezercough
In other news, Sufjan Stevens confuses me, but is cool anyway. This reminds me vaguely of State Songs, only with a lot less use of that weird organ thing Linnell was so inexplicably attached to. And the songs aren't quite as... weird. Which is not a bad thing!
Hooray for iTunes users on large, university-type networks, for letting me listen to music I do not have!
In other-other, completely unrelated news, I had a conversation with my mom today that didn't confuse, upset, or frustrate me! Probably because I was willing to laugh about how ridiculous the UofC is, and she wasn't pressuring me to decide on anything concerning my major or harassing me about how my major will render me completely unemployable. Yay! So now I'm in a good enough mood to finish reading the chapters I have for Monday in the Origin of Species.
