So... er... I, um... was trying to do my paper, right? And it hit 10:00 and I was like "Oh look, four pages. All I need's a conclusion and an opening paragraph, yay!" So, realizing that I was four episodes behind on Eureka 7, I decided that I'd skim through them. I'd already watched most of 24. And I knew what happened in 25. 26 I sort of skipped because people were complaining about the Renton/Eureka, and that's not something I wanted to subject myself to. So I opened up 27 and watched the new opening (which was full of Renton/Eureka), sort of shrugged at it, because it was significanly less cool than the previous two. And... and now Holland is like, running around the ship in his underwear in some strange face paint shooting at people and... and I can't stop laughing at him, but oh my goodness would I love to know what is going on. I mean, I'm used to things making no sense to me... but... umm... Holland. Face paint. Shooting. Buh? And now the giant robot's gone nuts and there was a brutal murder and YOUR FACE PAINT IS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO TAKE THIS THE LEAST BIT SERIOUSLY. It's like... like... umm... there's a word for people who would dress like that. In underwear and... it looks like out-of-control eyeshadow. Just... umm... these people generally have nothing to do with giant robots. (Really, usually neither do I. I'm not sure why, of all the things I could be not watching right now, one of them isn't Eureka 7, aside from the fact that it's got this weird endearing wtf that keeps me watching it. Probably because I can't understand it.) Holland, you freaking confusing half-naked punk murderer. THIS WOULD BE COOLER IF YOU WERE WEARING CLOTHES.
Congratulations, Eureka 7, you make less sense than Zeno of Elea and Parmenides combined!
(If I didn't have a paper I was supposed to be working on, I'd re-do the full-length underwear thing with this new... inexplicable get-up. I'm going to go count the number of times Holland has been unnecessarily and inexplicably scantily clad in this series. After I finish this paper. Holy crap, Holland, what the heck.)
