It is seriously strange to be on campus so much first week. And, for some odd reason, I don't mind it as much (I'm hoping my iPod protects my soul. I imagine Joseph Regenstein is the sort that sucks your soul out through your ears).

So? What the heck am I doing in here? Free printing. And recovering from discovering that I never paid attention to the maps in LotR. Yes, I'm pretty sure I failed the map quiz. But, um... at least I think things were in the right order. Like, at least I didn't put the Shire right next to Mordor or anything. But... yeesh. What a way to prove you've read the books. (At least it doesn't really count for anything. And the two professors were quite nice people, for the whole two minutes that I saw them. And they seriously have the loudest door ever. It's probably not only hollow, but made of something... umm... very echo-y. Yes. End parentheses).

I don't feel like doing any more reading for CritPers, though, so I'm going to fill out that little music meme that [livejournal.com profile] sketchyheart passed me a day or so ago. Wee!

01). Total volume of music files on my computer?
On my computer only 5.38 gigs (I think it's like, 1150 songs or so). I accidentally deleted a bunch of stuff after I moved it to Pantalaimon.

02). The last CD I bought was...
"Oh, Inverted World!" by the Shins. I was also going to get the Garden State soundtrack but... umm... I'm lazy or something.

03a). The last song I listened to before writing this was...
I don't remember what came up last... Nice Day by Radiohead or something, or Keep it Together.

03b). Song playing right now:
Moxy Fruvous - Lee. It's been forever since I heard this. (And now it's Light My Candle from Rent. Oh dear, I need to copy the second CD...).

04). Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me.
This is hard. I am going to attempt not to cop-out entirely. This is... sort of a list of songs that I will not skip over on my playlist no matter what. ish.
1. BNL - Aluminum. Still in love with this song. And now it is permanently attached to that feeling of being on Amtrak at 10:30 in December leaving Chicago, going under all the huge iron bridges and thinking about the quarter.
2. Postal Service - National Anthem. Nothing attached to it as of yet, but... I dunno. The whole first part of it reminds me of the forest temple theme made happier and less creepy. And I like that sort of thing.
3. Frou Frou - Let Go. Quintessential Garden State music. Makes me think of the end every time... which is such a lovely confused bunch of things. Eee.
4. Sairen - AKFG. It's a toss between this and Yuugure no Aka and Mugen Glider. Can I count all three as one?
5. Crap, this is five already? Uhm. Guster - Come Downstairs and Say Hello. Because... it somehow reminds me of living in Youngstown. Kind of like how all of Soul Coughing's Ruby Vroom = Cleveland for some reason (or any city at night, but mostly Cleveland).

05). Which 5 people are you passing this baton to, & why?
[livejournal.com profile] becada422 because I don't know what you listen to anymore
[livejournal.com profile] antipixie for the same reason
[livejournal.com profile] chocolatemoose because your music always pwns mine, except when it's the same
[livejournal.com profile] random_prophet because I'm curious to see what kind of stuff someone else who reads Pratchett and Gaiman and watches Gankutsuou and FMA listens to
[livejournal.com profile] mustangactor for sheer wtf if it actually gets passed on, and I don't feel like harassing anyone else. Bwahahaha!
