I started an entry Saturday night (well... three in the morning on Sunday) about the con in general, and all sorts of random musings... It's on my laptop, though, and right now I'm too lazy to fetch it from my bedroom. Plus it's acting up again, and I don't want to deal with it. So... there's like, 1/3 of a con-report to be posted later. And I'll eventually get pictures up. I meant to upload them Saturday night, but there wasn't wireless in my room anymore, and thanks to all sorts of amazing snafus at the con, I didn't get a chance to be on the interenet again to upload them. So, it'll be a while. Because dial-up sucks. (In case we haven't learned that already).

All in all, though, despite the random annoyances (and there were a fair number of them, thanks to that silly hotel) it was a fun weekend. There's a lot of psychological babbling I could do about the difference in experience between being there to wander and being there to hang out behind a table harassing people (and I find I kind of like the latter more... I hardly meet anyone when I'm only wandering)... but for now I'll avoid it, because I started on it in the other entry, and there's no need for anyone to have to put up with that twice.

I think I actually slept most of today. Which isn't good for the whole sleep schedule thing. But holy crap... it's hot out. And since it's less hot out when there's no sun, it's less of a problem for me to be awake until goodness-knows-when. Honest.
Okay, first things first. The Saturday bit of my sort-of con report is up. It's a lot shorter than it was going to be, because I seem to have lost the paper I had everything written down on, and in the intervening time, I've forgotten a lot of random stuff. It'll probably eventually come back to me. I was going to post the pictures today, too, but for some reason I haven't been able to upload anything at all, even though I sized everything down to 600x450, which usually isn't a problem even for my nasty dial-up.

Right now, though... I feel I must confess something. I'm actually coming to like Rockstar: Supernova. It's not because of the music. It's certainly not because of anyone's physical appearance. I've come to the conclusion that it's just a really, really amusing show. And now that Chris is gone, almost no one sucks (I don't like Zayra, though. Like, at all.) However, what really gets me, and provides endless amounts of amusement, is how absolutely freaking incredibly dorky the show is, on the whole. I mean, you've got these three old rocker-dudes, and one young one. The three old guys are looking for a singer. And the three of them? Have insulted someone like, a total of four times through the entire show. Simon Cowell hosts a freaking pop star show and is meaner than the three of them. They rely on the guy from Jane's Addiction to do any and all the critical talking. And omg... Tommy Lee. Nothing he says ever. makes. sense. His attempts at puns are more than enough to start me laughing. It's just... do these people realize what huge dorks they are? Is this all a calculated game? Or is it the biggest case of channelling dorkiness into something effectively masquerading as cool ever? It's almost adorable. I mean, you're not supposed to think Tommy Lee et al are harmless and kind of adorable, are you? It's just too hilarious for them not to be endearing to me. What the heck, guys? Aren't you supposed to be like... tough? That said, I want Dilana to win. She freaks me out royally sometimes, but I think she'd be great for them. That, or Storm Large, because she's got a proper sense of humour and could deal with them. Most of the guy's I'm impartial to. The one who's supposedly got the best chance is just too much of an arrogant jerk for me to care about him, and the rest of them feel like they've been listening to Creed too much sometimes.

You are all, of course, more than welcome to point your fingers and laugh at me now. But do keep in mind I've only got five channels. (It's all okay, because I sat down and started listening to Sufjan Stevens, right?)

And, while I've been writing this, things have finally started uploading properly, so here is the gallery of Ikasu pictures. Not many, but all an interesting and weird selection (save for the most evil cosplay ever. For seriously. Evil. The number of people at the con who still took the time to rub it in about episode 25... tch.)
