I'm sort of proud of myself... I haven't hit an atrociously bad movie yet this summer. Then again, that's also a sign that I haven't been taking advantage of my free movies enough. This is the last summer I have them, after all. (Though it's rather possible, depending on the change-over of staff, that at times I might be able to weasel my way in once in a while). So, I went to see Skeleton Key with
becada422 and
llamaninja this afternoon. It wasn't nearly as bad as The Village, which was the last movie of that sort that I'd seen. It was surprisingly un-annoying as far as thriller-type movies go. Unfortunately I have the worst habit ever of figuring out plot twists. Just... no one should tell me that there's a plot twist in a movie, because then I sit there thinking about it. To be fair, though, I was a bit more equipped to figure out the plot twist than most people.
( And then I spoil the plot twist )
Siiiigh, I wanted to go shopping today, too. But alas. Maybe I'll get lucky and get called in to work tomorrow, though it's really not likely. Unless every other form of entertainment in the area breaks or closes. I need more money! And I also realized, as I was writing down my schedule for next week, that I forgot to ask for the 28th off so I could go to my Nanny's birthday party. So I'm going to have to trade with someone. Yuck. We're getting a ton of new people, too, since everyone who started the year after me is heading off to college now. Alas. I'm totally not coming back for holiday help now, because I'll have to learn how to use the stupid barcode scanners and deal with all the new people who will think I'm new and treat me like I'm stupid. Which is one of the least fun things in the world, though I'm not sure if it comes before or after being talked down to by YSU students who are no older than you, and possibly younger. Just because they stay home for school and therefore have the time to be managers at the theatre. Tsk tsk.
