I'm trying to decide if my new windows theme hurts my eyes or not... I've definitely turned all the text a light shade of grey. Not sure if that's good, bad, or indifferent. Sort of weird right now. It amazes me how many red themes I have... I'm not even particularly fond of red. But now I'm all blue and beige, and we'll see how that works out. I think I'm just adjusting to the softer colours. Wee.

So... today has been full of all sorts of interesting stuff that's put me in a not-so-great mood. Not really a bad mood per se, but one of those broody wtf-am-I-doing-type moods that I seem to fall so easily into lately. There are quite a few things I can blame this on... but I'll try to refrain from it. Hopefully I can clear a third of it up tomorrow. The other third by halfway through this year. The final third I don't think will ever get cleared up, so living with it is my best bet. Yay! The best part is that all three of these thirds are only tenuously related at best!

I should definitely be reading Nietzsche right now. See, at least I can spell his name on the first try now (not that you can tell). This chapter sort of makes sense, so I must be reading it wrong.

On a note that may solve the middle third of my dilemmas though... I was looking through courses today and realized that, while I had only found about five courses that looked interesting, almost all of them were crosslisted in HIPS. History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science and Medicine. A major with that many commas is bound to be interesting, right? And if I end up in that, I get to use my random Philosophy of the Mind in Science Fiction class as an actual requirement for my major. How fun is that? (I also get to take classes on Darwin's writing and all sorts of random stuff. Yay!) So... I should probably look into that. But that also involves another trip to see my advisor to see what she thinks. I mean, what does one do as a HIPS major after graduating? It looks like a lawyer-y major to me, and that's sort of scary. I don't wanna go to law school. So yes, if I decide to major in this I can't double in English (mostly because of the random screwing-over I endured these past two quarters). I think I can deal with that. Especially if a Creative Writing minor crops up, which I think it might. Have to talk to my advisor about that, too.
