Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays and all that lovely end-of-December-type stuff that goes along with it to everyone wandering the internet aimlessly today!
I'm officially lost without some random electronic device to install today. This is the first time in... at least four years. Between DVD players that eat DVDs, evil CD-R drives... I kind of miss it. OK, so I'm also upset that nothing I got for Christmas was a real surprise. There was the usual orange in the toe of the stocking, random lip gloss (I officially have so much now that I could probably use one a day for an entire month, but that's mostly my fault)... my mom wrapped up four of the five pairs of blue jeans we bought (she would've wrapped the 5th too, if I hadn't already worn them), and I wasn't certain I would get it, but I did get the eggbert shirt I asked for (I knew as soon as I saw the smallish box), and I finally got to open my Gigantic DVD. Waiting was horrible, but it was terribly fun to watch this morning. Yay TMBG-ness! I also got the poster I wanted, so come next quarter people in my room will be treated to the strange giant Abe Lincoln chasing the two Johns (in addition to the giant stuffed bear with a flaming Guster emblazoned on it... fear my future apartments!). Oh, and there was a weird pair of giant, heeled, converse-type combat boots (that doesn't even begin to describe them properly, really) that I'm not sure what I'll do with. I rather like them, in a strange way, but I've got no idea what on earth I'd wear them with... besides this one pair of pants I have... but then I end up looking like some sort of absolutely bizarre soldier or something. You know what... this is the sort of description that can only be properly made with the aid of a digital camera. Ah, well. Not that I'd be able to find the webspace for a picture right now, anyway.
I suppose maybe they're saving gifts that will actually be surprises for my birthday... which we may or may not celebrate. I'm still pushing for something on the third.. I guess we'll see what happens. I've already got two of my birthday presents, though... because my mom bought be a watch last night and those two shirts that I'm still contemplating designs for (a brief visit to Google image search will tell me pretty quickly if what I dreamed up last night is possible at all, I suppose). Then I need to find some sort of witty quotes. Hehehehe.
