Ahem... so... oversleeping does have its perks. Like insane long dreams that make no sense but are fun anyway. And this one wins bonus points for not being disturbing at all! Aside from the small identity crises I have over exactly which character I was in the dream... hehehehe.

The whole thing started out in this strange castle. I was locked inside with two other people, but I wasn't supposed to be there or something, so when people came in to see what was going on I had to jump out the window and climb down on these impossibly tiny footholds. After they were gone I climbed up inside again and the three of us decided we needed to escape (this is also where I figured out that my two fellow captives were Iruka and one of my roomies). The room was like a bedroom, and there was a waterbed in the middle. This is important later. We ran down through the castle (and I swear sometimes my dreams find a way to do the equivalent of using stock footage or something, but I know part of the castle was also used to represent the UofC in several of my dreams... maybe it was trying to be all metaphorical) and out the back door into this bizarre field of sugarcane on a beach. We knew they were following us, so we took off through the field running ninja-style (think Naruto opening). We wove back and forth to confuse our trail, but about halfway I decided it would be best if we all just ran in a straight line and I repaired the plants behind us... with alchemy. There was another part here involving the school in the trees I was in a few days ago in another of my dreams (that I should have written down, darnit), but I sadly can't remember how it fits in. So we eventually ended up at this abandoned warehouse place. I think it was more like a hangar, because I get the feeling there was a giant plane or something in the main room. Anyway, we were trying to find the real way out, and there was this old guy with us now too, who was basically there to tell me one thing and then sort of disappear again into my subconscious. But anyway... Iruka left to go to the bathroom (he was now dressed... weirdly. I can't quite describe it, but he was wearing black and orange), and I tried to transmute the door in the hallway (not the one that led to the bathroom) open, but it wouldn't work. I assumed it was because I was a girl, and this was the hallway for the guy's bathroom. After he was done (my roomie sort of disappeared for this part, I think) we walked off into the other part of the hangar and I accidentally pressed this button that opened up these two garage doors. Outside there were just nothing but rocks, and the castle was sitting right next to us. The sun was just about to come up, and the old guy was standing next to me and I said something like "Wow, I've never seen the sunrise over the grand canyon before! I wish I could go outside and see it properly!" He just nodded and said that we could stay and watch it, but I told him we didn't have enough time (maybe this guy just lived in the hangar or something), and Iruka and I turned to go. This kind of turned into a strange segue into this brief interlude where I was a councelor at some kind of ninja summer camp (this is a strange reference to me explaining my slideshow-of-anime-images screensaver to my friends last night), and I was yelling at my friend from across the hall for being a jerk to the kids, and telling the other councelors that they were stupid because the giant CD would never play if you put cardboard under it, even if the purpose was to keep it from getting scrated. We had some kind of big meeting with the lady that was the head of the camp, and I kept yelling at the guy across the hall for doing stuff, and the lady was backing me up. I also somehow knew that this was the same lady from my novel that's creepyish and sells shoes and gives bizarre prophecies. Somehow from here I ended up right outside the castle walking with my roomie and talking about how I had to make this balloon thing for physics and some movie they were shooting on campus. We kept looking around being paranoid, because we knew the people from the castle were still after us and we were right in front of it in the courtyard. But we walked over to this plaza thing and I fixed up the balloon I was carrying to be like some bizarre model of zepplin called the Miracle II Racer or something odd like that... it really involved the balloon and two big red loops of crepe paper, but it flew better. As we were walking over to the line of people waiting to get started we walked past this bridge and this man in a big green dionsaur suit fell down the stairs and bumped into someone in a purple dinosaur suit, and they started fighting. Someone told me that the purple one was Barney (he spoke with the same voice), but they couldn't let him look the same because of copyright issues. Then we got up into the line and Iruka rejoined us, and we ended up over in this big group of peopel by this broken-down dark grey building. The people were all supposedly in my physics class with me, and we were comparing all the answers our groups had gotten for the problems involving the balloons, and we were worried because our diagrams were different, but the guys in the other group just explained that they'd copied it out of the Cliff's Notes, so it was going to be different. Then, as we were all lined up and getting ready to go test our hypotheses, my lab TA from compsci showed up and asked if any of us were in Philosophy of the Mind in Science Fiction. I knew I had been in the class (actually took it last quarter, but that's irrelevent in the dream), but I'd dropped it so I wasn't sure if I should admit it. He read off the roster, and said that he knew that "Team 4" was in it, and I got the feeling that he was after us for escaping the castle when he read off who team 4 was. So I somehow accidentally popped our balloon, and then tried to blow it up again through the hole but it didn't work and we used this to escape again, and somehow ended up back at the castle (maybe we got caught again, I don't know). But this time Hawkeye was laying in the waterbed and Alexander (Nina's dog) was laying on the side. Hawkeye told us we could share the bed, so I jumped in and fell asleep because the castle was lifting off to fly someplace and the whole thing was rocking back and forth. Iruka and my roomie continued to pace around the room looking at things while I dozed off, then I got up to look out the window and somehow it had rained on Alexander but as soon as I was out of bed he climbed in with Hawkeye and soaked her. She just sort of rolled over though. Then the castle sort of... landed... and Shizune came in looking for us so I had to jump out the window again. Only this time I decided I'd do it better so I went out the other window, which was a stupid mistake. I couldn't fit out of it and I almost got caught, so I just ran and jumped out the front window instead and somehow managed to grab onto these wooden poles sticking out of the building. Then I inched my way around to where I'd jumped down to before, but Shizune saw me and started shooting at me, and I considered climbing through one of the lower windows and hoping that Iruka and my roomie would meet me down there... then I forced myself to wake up because it was 12:30 and I shouldn't still be asleep.

That has got to be the most epic dream I have written down here in the past 6 months. Woo!
