Holy freaking crap it's windy out. Really, really windy. Good, evil, freezing cold Chicago wind. The waves on the lake look massive, and I'm tempted to walk out to the point and look. Except it's freezing. It's supposed to snow later today... how depressing is that?? I suppose it's only fair though... it is the day before Thanksgiving. And I can be happy because there were a few days in November that were unusually warm. Just... ew, winter. I'm so going to grad school someplace warm. I think I can deal with four years without snow.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving... second one I've had without my family. The holiday basically doesn't exist here... I mean, people in my sosc class had actually forgotten about it. I think it's part of this school's brainwashing. It's got to be. Hehehehe. At least we get days off. Though, I'd almost rather have them off during winter or spring quarter. This quarter's easy, because we have a month in between.
Hmm... I don't want to go to my compsci lab today. But I have to anyway, because I said I would and really I don't have a good excuse not to. I think I might just give in and reformat my computer this weekend... it needs it. There are about 30 random processes that don't need to be running... and are actually duplicates of other system processes. It's not slowing it down much, but it's still annoying and messy. And I've got to borrow the rescom harddrive anyway to fix someone else's computer. Reinstalling all my codecs is going to be a royal pain though... I imagine I'll just put it off for a while longer, until I start having actual problems.
I am being really rambly today.. I think I should go find something to do.
