No one and nothing interesting at work tonight. It just sort of happened, and then was over. No overly mean people, but no one overly nice, either. I wasn't working with MC, so there was no falling over, jumping, or singing. Apparently a ton of people are leaving soon. Mostly for school. SS is leaving supposedly, and if she does it will make me sad. But the lack of people is giving me more hours. This and next week are both 30-hour weeks. Shame they won't be on the same paycheck, because I'd just like to look at it. They'll probably be hiring more people soon, so my long weeks won't last too much longer. I just wrote down my schedule for next week.. when it's over, August will be almost done! I can't believe how quickly this summer has gone. Of course, now that I've read something waiting for me on the UChi board, September can come a bit quicker if it likes:
Nice!
502 isn't a bad room at all, especially compared to the Frosh rooms you'll see in other dorms on campus. Heck, I think its bigger than most of the first-year rooms in the Shoreland, and that's saying something.
Its not the Hilton, but its got a lot of room (including, if I remember correctly, a kitchen area, but don't take my word for divine truth on that).
You'll definitely enjoy it, and the House =). We're gonna rock next year!
Here's to seeing you in September
KITCHEN!! Of course, I shouldn't get all excited yet, since the word may not be complete divine truth. We're apparently right next to the lounge, but I don't imagine it'll be that bad. I don't think we face the lake, either, based on what other people on our side of the building have said. But really it's impossible to tell since the numbers are so insanely weird! All the odds are on one side of the lounge, all the evens on the other, so it's basically impossible to tell which side of the hall you're on. I'm so confused! Not that that's anything new. Why must this summer force me to wish it was over?? I shouldn't be wishing time away like this, but really, what can one do when all it does is rain, and all they do is work? Can you help but look forward? I just hope I don't end up doing the same thing while I'm in school... it seems to be a habit of mine.
Oh! And I just found out that Guster's playing in Chicago on the 24th of October. I have my heart set on going now, and I'm very close to posting and asking if anyone else at the UofC want to come, but it's late and I'm all shy and tired, and I reek of popcorn and butter. Yucky butter.
