What a day... not bad, per se... at least it was interesting. I actually got up this morning at nine. Sat around a lot, found a hotel for the trip back to Chicago (starting to regret letting my parents take me), and then headed to work at noon. I worked for half an hour getting things ready for the set, then went on a field trip with one of my managers to the bank. Not sure why I got to go, but ooh well! I got to heave a box of $500 worth of quarters (HEAVY!). I got back inside and there was a line to the door of mothers and their noisy children waiting for Princess Diaries 2. They buy a lot of combos though, so they make me slightly less likely to get yelled at by my managers so I won't complain about them. We didn't really have enough popcorn to start the day so we were screwed from the start. We finally got caught up with things, and then the power went out. So I had to add everything by hand for at least six customers. Most were rather understanding, until the last one who was unnecessarily grumpy. Then there was the guy who yelled at me because we didn't have long enough straws for the extra large cups. And the lady that ordered a large pizza instead of popcorn somewhere near three times.
