By the looks of things on the UofC board, I won't have to wait until the end of this week for my housing assignment. The people in the suburbs of Chi-town got theirs Saturday, which means I should get mine today or tomorrow. I'm actually excited, but I find myself now hoping that I'm not in Shoreland, which was my original first choice. It's too far away from everywhere else, I want to be closer to campus my first year. I imagine I probably won't be in Shoreland anyway, since I didn't send in my housing info or anything until nearly May 1st, which was the deadline, and there's limited space for first-years. Maybe I'll be in Max. I actually really don't care much at all which dorm I'm in, I just want to know who my roommate is. I'll have a whole month to get to know them before I get to campus, unlike everyone else I know, some of whom don't even know who their roommates are yet. I'm still laughing about my one friend that believes she has an African American roommate. She sounded so freaked out. At least she didn't get an Asian roommate, because that's the ethnic group she's the most afraid of. How could you be afraid of Asians?? Silly cultural isolation! I can't wait to get out of here!
My connection to AOL keeps failing.. dratted thing.
Today's CDs: Nine Days - The Madding Crowd, Our Lady Peace - Spiritual Machines, the Presidents of the USA - Freaked out and Small, and Atom and His Package - Reinventing Music. Hey! Maybe I'll get close to finishing today!
