Oh dear. For some reason my mom let me sleep in until TWO today. Grrrr! I'm never going to get to sleep tonight, and I have to work tomorrow morning. Yucky! The good bit about my over-sleeping though, is the horribly epic and rather amusing dream I had. And recording these is the point of this journal in the summer, afterall. Let's hope I can remember it properly, because even though I told my mom when I got up, I had to leave a lot of details out because explaining them would take too long. I'm sure you can pretend to understand, though.
So... letsee if I can remember this all properly. It started on our common theme lately - me moving back in at school. This time I had my proper roomies, but I was worried about getting in trouble for letting them move in early, even though they had just shown up and I hadn't really invited them to move in or anything. Blah blah. So this random girl walked in and asked us why we were in her room. We sort of looked at her strangely, then realized she must be on the wrong floor. We told her, and she looked confused and concerned for a second, then explained that she was a transfer. She looked around at the room and asked if the rooms were all like it. We said that they were all basically the same, including the random strange metal box on top of the shelves. Beats me what that was there for. So she eventually left, and this other guy came in randomly afterwards. He was dressed just like Kakashi. Well.. he was Kakashi, only not animated because at least my dreams keep the mediums straight. He introduced himself (not as Kakashi, though) and left. I went out to wander the hallways and see if anyone else had moved in early even though they weren't allowed. The quad across the hall from me seemed to have all its occupants, even though none of them were supposed to be there early, but I didn't give much thought to it. I went over to room 503 for a bit and stood around, then I went into the lounge where
sketchyheart and
windresistant were watching anime on laptops. They gave me a Naruto-type headband and were talking about how it was amazingly similar to the ones they wore in Get Backers. Just nod like this makes sense. I started to worry if I had actually finished my finals, but then I realized that I had, so it was all alright. (Apparently this was the end of the year now, which becomes more and more obvious as we go through this). I headed back to good old 502, where I talked to random people for a bit, including Peter Parker. The room was pretty much as empty as I'd left it, which was oddly consistant as far as my dreams are concerned. Kakashi dropped by again and said hi to everyone, and I decided to follow him and see if I could get him to take his mask off. Just then though, two of my friends from high school showed up and I had to take them across campus to look at stuff. We went down across the midway close to BJ, but came up on this big convention center first, around where they're supposedly going to build the new dorm. It had a big atrium and stuff, and for awhile I couldn't figure out what it was, until my friend pointed out that it said convention center all over it. I shrugged and said something along the lines of "Oh well, I suppose if all else fails I should actually read what it says." We went inside to look around and walked up this big slope to look in the glass windows of the atrium. To get back down, we had to jump down about 8 feet or so. We went down into this gym where our guy friend was working out, and the other went to go colour her knee scars with a black sharpie so they wouldn't hurt anymore. The guy was running around in this squash court with other people I didn't know, so I decided to do pull-ups. I got to 17 and was really surprised because normally I can't do more than about 2 or 3. All of a sudden the bar fell off though, and when I tried to fix it it kept falling apart more because it was crooked to begin with. There was this bicycle attached to the other side and after a while these old guys came up to try to fix it, but the pedals had fallen off the bike, and they told me the CPU and RAM were missing. I turned around and my friend was back from colouring her knees, so we left. Oh, and she was wearing Sauske's shorts. We walked out through the BJ courtyard, and all the buildings were two or three stories taller than they were supposed to be. I went into this hallway and there was this girl coming down the stairs. I recognized her as someone from one of my classes, but no one specific. The more I think about it, the more I think she looked like Fake-morals, only wearing more fishnet. She looked at me strange and then kept going. I walked into this other hallway and there were two guys fighting. I ran off to the side into this bathroom so I could stay out of the way while I figured out how to beat both of them. I know one of them was Chouji. It goes totally Naruto for a bit here, sorry. All of a sudden the girl came into the bathroom after me and yelled at me. She said something about how I couldn't ever defeat her, and then hit me in the stomach. I fell over onto the floor by the wall, and she jumped down on top of me. She said I'd never find her weakness, but I could see this weird yin yang shaped bruise on her knee. I put my hand over it and started pouring chakra into it, and she started yelling about how I was hurting her and how did I ever see her weakness. I looked over at her and told her that I could use my sharingan, and since I always dream in 3rd person, I could see that my eyes were two different colours (apparently I only have one sharingan... I think there was a scar too). Incidentally, I was also dressed as Naruto. Oddly enough, my mind decided that this was the time to comment about how all the characters in Naruto are just combinations on the same four character designs. Yay subconscious. So I hopped over her while she was doubled-over in pain, and started to use the rasengan. She got up and stared at me, and said something like "What is that?!" Only perhaps with more obscenities. I told her that I was spinning my chakra into a very powerful sphere, then I threw it at the wall to demonstrate. She was sufficiently freaked out or whatever, so I left and continued walking across the midway with my two friends. I was reading this paper that looked like it was the end-of-the-year edition of the Maroon, and the back of it was full of complaints and stuff about things that should be fixed on campus. There were a few about how the houses in BJ shouldn't be allowed to paint their walls such obnoxious colours, and quite a few about the bump between Tralgor and Trogdor circle. There were also lots of strange jokes about Trogdor circle. We came across this big park, and a UofC bus drove by the said Route G. I mused about how I never knew there was a route G, but apparently there was now. There was also some sort of parade going on, but I can't remember much of that. Next thing I knew we were in this book store, and I came across this DVD-book thing that was based on Discworld, even though it had a large picture of Gandalf on it, and next thing I knew I was in this flashback about how great it had been to make the movie. I said something like "I'd always been a nationally published author, but I'd never been able to work within a massively-famous world like that before." Suddenly I was swimming in this lake and there was a film crew on the beach filming me, and I wanted to get out because it was starting to storm, but the crew told me I was being selfish, and the chances of lightning striking me were very small. I wondered if I'd be able to feel it if lightning struck somewhere else in the lake, but next thing I knew I was in this smaller lake that was surrounded by trees and there were all kinds of extras around, and the film crew was in the water with me telling me to jump up and spin around as many times as I could before my feet hit the bottom again, like Fred Astaire. The first time I did it I only went around once, but after that I got better and could do five or six times. Suddenly I was watching the whole thing again from the side, and explaining to someone that at the time I knew I couldn't be dreaming, because there was no way I could have imagined so many people at once. From this angle, I could tell that the director was Jiraiya and he was giving me instructions on how to act.
And that's pretty much the end of it, as far as I can remember. Whew. I am such a dork, to dream up something that involves the UofC and Naruto, along with a brief Discworld cameo. Hehehe.
