There is writing fiction for fun, and there is writing fiction for the UofC. Why does this school freaking have to ruin everything? Gah! No decent premise... screw it. I'm just going to write the evilish horrible thing I've been tossing around for awhile now, and amuse myself with random references to fun things. And I'll try not to make it exceedingly obvious that the strange ninja-like android repair-person is sort of kind of me. And the andriods are totally not the Chee. And my big brother higher up in the military than me, researching the "myserious plaque from space" that is somehow screwing everything up on our pseudo-utopian planet is totally not Citan/Jin. Yeah. Exactly. I need to revel less in my inside jokes. If it turns out well though, I'll be sure to post it later on. Oh, veiled references are so much fun, you know if I post it I'm going to have to annotate it for you.
I think I'm just going to have to read the notes on Pride and Prejudice, because I'm only halfway through it right now. Grr, long Victorian-type manners novels. Grr.
[The thing for artistic is so weird, mostly because when I look at it the first thing I notice is the little easel, which always looks like the Chinese character I call "walking box"... I think it means big brother or brother in general or something. But anyway, the point is, I always immediately think "Huh, how did this Chinese get in my journal?" and it takes a little while before I realize what it is, and I'm confused.]
