Here's one for the "About my day" posts. I FREAKING GOT HIT BY A CAR TODAY.
Well... not so much got hit by a car as hit a car... door. Errr. OK, so I was riding down 56th street after Civ, and this lady opens up her car door in front of me and BOOM, I hit it and next thing I know I'm sprawled in the middle of the street. I think it explains a lot about my absurd character that I apologized first, and asked if she was alright. I think she was too in shock to know how to deal with it, though. Because (based on the many lessons about riding two-wheeled vehicles from my dad) I jumped right back up. I kept the bike underneath me, see... so only it got hurt. And if I hadn't freaked and put my hands down, I wouldn't be hurt at all. But they're a little skinned. And they're still shaking. It's not every day that you hit a car, you know? At least it wasn't a bus or an ambulance, like I'd been predicting. I imagine this is some sort of punishment for not paying attention in Civ. I can say one thing about the class though... it's really improved my drawing skills. I think I'm going to save today's, since it includes a rather nice drawing of O Ren Ishii. Too much Kill Bill, Villy... too much Kill Bill.
I had a pretty decently weird dream last night, but on account of all the adrenaline currently coursing through my system, I can't do much about remembering it. Maybe later. Eep.
