Errr... really just too much Nietzsche for me. I was awake in Hum class today, so things were actually fun. In a rather bizarre way, but fun nonetheless. Having my prof randomly insult this one girl that always (and I mean every day) asks "But what does he mean by this, what is he trying to say??!" I think he said something to her like "And what is it, excactly, that makes you think that is a good question... er.. wait, that's not how I wanted that to sound. Why do you think that's relevant to what we are talking about? Oh, still too agressive... hmmm." Hilarious, in its own special way. It still makes me laugh. I feel bad though, because I was sitting right next to her at the time. I swear I only giggled a little bit with everyone else, and then looked appropriately shocked and bothered and all that stuff. And for some reason, most of the people that usually make the inane comments weren't there.. probably because of midterms. Which made the whole atmosphere a lot nicer. I also appreciated much, much more the one particularly articulate guy in our class... At least I usually agree with him. As I was leaving class, for some reason I decided that he was obviously a taller, blonde, Rivers stick-figure (I swear, he is so freaking skinny. If you saw him, you would agree that he is definitely a stick figure. No question about it). Math was moderately amusing... It's rather funny that this time around, I seem to actually understand all the rotation around the x-axis crap that I never understood at all last year. Unfortunately, this means we are at about the point where my calculus class stopped last year, so for the rest of the quarter, and all of next, I will be afloat in my tiny dingy in the stormy seas of calculus, clutching my tiny non-aesthetics-based extremely-modified Socratic justification for existance. It's warm and fluffy, but the seas of calculus contain many monsters. On a less metaphoric note, I am extremely tempted to scan my notes from today... not only are there some good doodles in the margins, but they just look cool. I think it's all the arrows I drew to emphasize things. Hehehe... my calculus notes are an AESTHETIC ATROCITY! Mwahahahaha! Nothing beats the two mushrooms with exclamation points after them, following "Badger" written over and over and over again, though.

Lunch was absurdly amusing today, once I learned to just ignore the people on my far left talking about who in the school was gay and who wasn't and who was sleeping with whom and something something something else insanity. Then, to help myself ignore them, I said "I think my plans for the summer are to commandeer a ship and be a pirate on Lake Michigan!" I'm not sure why, but I think I was maniacally twirling my knife at this point, too. One of the other girls said "that sounds like my plan, only I was going to use a car! We should go into business together." "We'll keep the boat, but pirate all the great lakes." And it basically spiralled interestingly away from there, until it was "Pirates of the Great Lakes: Two Pirates an a Robot" the TV series. Ending in a shootout with the police and lots of helicopters while the three of us stand on top of a high rise building in Chicago, while a volcano is erupting. I believe the tagline was the two pirates saying "Yarrr!" while the robot said "I am a robot." It sounds verily weird. We know this because on the way back to our rooms, we tried it. Hehehe. The robot also sounds like Arnold Schwartzenegger. (If I spelled that right, I should get like, fifty million cool points. Or non-cool points. I should get something. But not tiny packets of mayonnaise, because that would be just weird...)

Bah... I feel like I'm catching a new mutated version of that evil thing I had last Friday that now includes a cold. Yuckiness! It seems to contain more of the silliness virus that set in last time, though... not that I mind that as much. Silliness is fun. It's the coughing and sore throat and stuffy nose that isn't. I should've known, since the silliness pretty much set in last night.. there is no other justification for dancing the chicken dance and the macarena in the hallways. And playing charades. This school is so great sometimes. Even if it meant that I only got about 6 hours of sleep last night. Maybe that's why I don't feel all that well...

So, I got back from class today around 1ish, and since I wasn't feeling well, I decided to waste time by playing Xenogears. It only took me an hour to finish it. Woo me! Unfortunately, I was rather distraught to realize that I had played it until well after five, when my Bio quiz had to be turned in. So, in vain hope I logged into the website to see if maybe the quiz was still up... I saw this:

"I have been receiving a lot of reports of problems. THis may have to do with the following notice from NSIT or it may be Chalk.

"February 04, 2004
The connection to one of our campus ISPs (Qwest) is down. We may experience problems with connections off campus while running on the other ISP connection. One half of the 926-1600 modem pool is out."

I will extend the Quiz 4 deadline to Friday at 5, and please email me if your connection is dropped (I can clear your attempt) or you have concerns about your quiz.
Even if it repeatedly asks you to login, it does not appear to be losing answers ...
