Just for fun, we are gong to do today's entry in different formats. Because I'm insanely bored and there is nothing else for me to do. No one else is awake, and I don't really have to be up tomorrow morning until at least 9ish. Though I'd like to be up a little earlier than that, just because I hate going straight to work after I get up. But even if I'm getting up at 8, I don't have to be asleep until midnight. I can't believe how close to Christmas it is... Just a few more days. So, right... what I was about to do before I distracted myself like that. To amuse myself (and perhaps others, if they are as bored as I am) I present to you... Today's Entry By Stereotype... In toned down styles because I'm tired and lazy and don't feel like being a total stereotypist tonight.
If I was a gamer...
I finally defeated Xenogears today! w00t! In well under the usual amout of time, too. 52 hours! But that could be because I don't do any of that useless wandering around and levelling up that most people do with RPGs. If you understand how the game works, you shouldn't have to try to defeat everything by brute force. In honour of this, I present to you a new icon. Residing in the ever-changing third-icon spot (which has been oven mitt, and goldfish and chopsticks, and the llamaninja icon I made.. and now this). It doesn't look nearly as cool against a white background, so if I get bored I'll do something about this.
If I was a teeny-bopper valley girl pop-culture weirdo...
I went to the mall today to shop for some more Christmas presents. It was freakin' crowded, and the people were pushy. Usual holiday crowd. It occured to me that there are more attractive guys at UChi than there are here, and that's horribly depressing! I mean, oh my goodness, what the heck?? On top of that, Hot Topic must go. People here are starting to think it's cool, and it makes it impossible to figure out which people actually are cool and which ones are just following the trend. Disgusting trends. (Oops... so much for this sterotype..). And I bought my mom her presents, like I wanted to. Yay!
If I was a depressed disgruntled employee...
I don't want to go to work for 8 hours tomorrow! I have to get up way too early! I have to stand around for way too long! Plus it's Monday, so it's going to be terribly, terribly boring. Even with LoTR. I have to spend way too much time at work as it is. Gah! I can't wait to get back to Chicago.. even out of Chicago. No.. wait, I'm going to have to work in Chicago next quarter too. I just can't wait until I'm at a point where I don't have to work constantly anymore, or when I find something I actually don't hate doing. I suppose there's always retirement in... 46 years or so. Let's just hope that people don't harass me about the theatres again tomorrow, or I'll go nuts. I'm seriously bringing something to read tomorrow. Sooo bored. I don't imagine a concessionist reading Dante's Inferno is a common sight at the theatre, but it will be tomorrow.
OK, I give up on this, because I'm bored. I just want something to do.. Today was all just wander around aimlessly and occasionally eat or something. Then finally get completely bored and sit down to play Xenogears around 9:30, and finally get through the battle against Deus at 10, and then have my mom come in and yell at me for keeping my sister up but not want to turn it off because I knew I wouldn't be able to do it again probably, without a whole lot of extra evil work and such, so I just had to sit there and go "But I'm at the end and I can't turn it off now or I'll have to start this all over again and that battle's so hard!" Now what am I going to do with my free time? I suppose I could start another of my sister's games... she wants me to try Final Fantasy 7... but I don't really want to start another RPG right now... It takes so much time. Of course, based on what some people told me, I expected to spend like, 80 hours on Xenogears and it only took me 50, so... I don't remember what my point about that was, but I'm sure it might have been imporant. I think maybe I'll just hook up the old Super Nintendo and amuse myself by defeating SMB2 over and over again because I like the music at the final boss.
I wish the cat hadn't broken my headphones. I miss them.. I've got these big bulky ones that belong to my dad now... temporarily of course. The sound's about as good, but they're sort of uncomfortable. And I can't get them at that lovely almost-too-loud point without making it heard in the next room over.
Ben Gibbard has such a freaking awesome voice, I don't know what to do with myself. Really. Gah!
