Plundering Record Stores

My parents are in town, and I took them record shopping yesterday. While they were searching for the random odds and ends that are missing from their collection I cried over all the beautiful things I could own on vinyl if I only had a record player, then decided to stop being a masochist and looked in the bargain bins. I came across a few milk crates full of old 12" singles, and among them, I came across this...

I think one of those fancy multi-players would be a good investment sometime in the future. They are a little out of my budget for belated birthday presents, but a contribution is fine too.... o3o

I'm pretty much doomed here, because not only have I been pricing record players/good stereo setups (I'm so tired of my laptop speakers), I've also finally found a very pretty affordable mandolin (it looks just like my Remy, only blue). Uaaagh.

Ahhgh I could easily go and spend $500 right now and have crazy amounts of musicness by Tuesday but aggh my credit card. Aagh. (I think my life would be more fun, though, if I didn't have the sort of self restraint that means it'll be a month from now and I still won't own a proper stereo or a mandolin. But mostly because they'd be hard to move, say, to another continent.)
