The sun is out today, so there's actually light in my room. I somehow managed to wake up before one this afternoon. And I got a call from a staffing company that might have something for me. Something like a job (and I'm pretty sure they're the ones that were staffing for law offices, and right now that's kind of my favourite idea, because... people who have to overanalyze and skew meanings of words for a living would probably keep me entertained. Plus, you know, I'm used to pretension and I'm not sure I can live without it).

Also... I FINALLY HAVE DSL. It's only taken two weeks. YAAAAY DSL! (I'm going to shake my fist at them for not turning it on until it was technically the 26th. Grrr, AT&T.)

This is how easy it is to cheer me up sometimes. Sad, eh?

Horray DSL. Live-giving DSL. We give you sacraficial offerings of telephone cords, your ancient enemy whom you conquered, as a sign of our submission.

::gnaws on them:: Except for the bit where they neglected to tell me that the properly fast service wasn't available to me, and so when all three of us are online, this is going to be far too slow. (Screw you, AT&T.)

I think when I have a job, I will have to get cable internet... even though it's terrifying and expensive, and requires cable TV. Urgh.

*petpet* Really? I think I'm just used to it being fast since my Dad never does anything strenuous with the computers.

Mmm... cable line... ONE DAY, when the accounting degree pays off... IT WILL BE MINE! MINE!!!

It would be fine, except it's 1.5mpb/s, which is not much split between three occasionally bandwidth-hungry people. I might almost be okay with it, but the tech guy that came to install the phone service didn't check the jack in the bedroom we need the wireless in, and that doesn't work. And it took them two weeks to get it turned on. And they treated me like an idiot over the phone when, for all intents and purposes, it was their screw-up with the service. So I'm very grrrrr at them right now.
