The idea of Spike Hughes, though, is conjuring up the most interesting hybrid... probably the sort that can't reproduce, though, since I've got this feeling they're somewhat different species of characters. (The bio concepts have taken over my mind).
I'm becoming increasingly certain that my Darwin professor is actually Pippin, only much older and into evolution (and possibly in possession of the One Ring).
